Re: Tattoos
Still got at least 2 more sittngs (maybe 3) to go on my half sleeve! Since the pic above I've had a sitting doing the polynesian to the inside of my arm which had a fair bit of solid black including one section right down to the elbow ditch which wasn't the most fun.
Next sitting will be the same to the outside of the arm but most of that side will be hidden behing the flowers and leaves which will get coloured in the same sitting so that the next one we can see how much the tiki's need to be darkened down to fit with the solid black. Final sitting should be the polynesian archway/sunsymbol that will cover the shoulder and any final shading!
Going to be an awful lot of work seeing as the whole thing is only costing me £60!

Re: Tattoos
Wee update, half sleeve is still a work in progress - Had 3 sittings totalling around 10 hours and we probably have 2-3 sittings still to go, seems to be taking forever but it is being done by an apprentice so he isn't the quickest!
On the other hand my latest tattoo was done by an artist called Ed Staples from Den of Iniquity in Edinburgh and he is by far the quickest artist I have had work done by! I actually won a 2 hour sitting with him in a charity raffle at my local pub! As I have been in the middle of my half sleeve I really wasn't sure what I wanted to do with the sitting so I decided to make a start on my right leg which will eventually be covered with vintage/sailor jerry style work. Went in to have a chat and we agreed to go with the calf piece of a vintage homeward bound sailing ship. I honestly expected to pay for an hour or two on top of the 2 free hours but all credit to Ed, he managed to cover my entire calf from just above the achilles to the back of my knee in under the 2 hours! Not gonna say it was easy going but bloody hell he is quick!
It has taken nearly a fortnight to heal but I am really pleased with how it turned out, especially only costing me a quid for the raffle ticket!
Will get pics up sometime soon!

Re: Tattoos
Getting my sleeve started soon, too excited. A million ideas for other tattoo's but don't want to be covered in them so Ihave some decisions to make! First 2 hour session booked where the top third of my sleeve will be done.
