Is it possible to hike from Knebworth to London through any side terrain or trails? or is it all busy roads or some kind of massive river seperating the two? I know you locals are probably wondering why the hell I'd wanna do that in the first place, but it would be a mini adventure for me not being from there and an awesome way to close off my trip. :D

I'm pretty sure you'd struggle. Lots of motorways (M25 for example surrounding london) and other roads yeah...

Are you thinking of a proper hike? 'Cause if anything - it'll just be a weary trek. As Alex said there are lots of busy roads and if you try to avoid them you'll never get to London  and according to Google maps it'll take over 9hrs .

I didn't even think to check google maps, although I wouldn't trust it for something like that. I'd be into a 3-5 hour hike but not 9! if it really would take that long.

I wasn't really thinking of a proper hike maschera, even though I'd prefer that, but a weary trek could be just as fun for me. :D I wouldn't mind some small roads and that but if it's mainly highways I'll have to forget it. Thanks for the info guys. Was just a thought. :)

And yes - we are wondering why the hell you'd wanna hike around after 4days of festival!
Perhaps you could extend your trip for a couple of days and do it properly.

haha I know, and maybe I'm crazy, but there's something about walking some long distance across fields and roads and small towns 5000 miles away from where I live after just being to an amazing festival. I'm kind of inlove with England, doing something like that would just be awesome to me...even if it's something that would be a nightmare for most of you. :P

Unfortunately I can't extend my stay, but it would be more fun to me to do it as a way to get "home" anyway. And it's not so much about hiking, because (not to brag) but I'm only an hour away from this: :D

I can't say I live near something like that. If I did, I'd probably enjoy the outdoors a lot more.

It is - and it means that we've been deprived of the tunnelly luxuries in which many indulge in today's society.

we have been neglected by our government and they have failed to provide a standard of living which is socially acceptable in our current society. (sounds posh eh??)
