Electronic music recommendations GO!

Going to a gig, going to another festival, or want to tell people about the awesome riff that you just worked out.

Electronic music recommendations GO!

Postby Disgruntled Jim » Sun Jan 01, 2012 3:01 pm

I want to learn a bit more about electronica music and what is has to offer. So I want recommendations on what to listen to. I listen to Daft Punk, Innerpartysystem (who are rock, but with electro stuff..shut up), Skrillex, Chrispy, The Crystal Method, Vitalic.

Even dubstep recommendations are welcomed.

Knife City.

If you've heard of the chiptunes band Anamanaguchi, this is the solo side project of their drummer. Basically combines chip tunes and dance music. It's pretty awesome :D

He has an EP out now, and it's worth checking out if you're into that sort of thing. If you haven't heard of him or Anamanaguchi, check them both out.

I would start with the early pioneers, especially the German bands like....

Tangerine Dream
Neu!
Can
Kraftwerk (who have already been mentioned)
