Coal Chamber Reunion

Going to a gig, going to another festival, or want to tell people about the awesome riff that you just worked out.

Coal Chamber Reunion

Postby Burning inside » Mon Sep 26, 2011 9:34 pm

I was trapesing through the metal hammer website earlier and came across this:

http://www.metalhammer.co.uk/news/coal-chamber-announce-reunion/

And, although they say its just for Australia, it does mean that there is a potential reunion tour sometime soon.

Am I the only one who is a little bit excited about the prospect of seeing Coal Chamber sometime in the future?

He seems to have spent most of his time in DevilDriver distancing himself from Coal Chamber and slagged it off heavily as his unfortunate past. I can't see this being good.

The world does not have a Coal Chamber shaped hole in it, I don't know why this is happening.

God in heaven. They were pretty irrelevant back in 1997. Whatever next? Human Waste Project reunion?

Actually, I say Coal Chamber were irrelevant, but I suppose their existence did indicate that some sort of movement was coalescing around the Korn/Deftones sound. If you've got bandwagon jumpers, it stands to reason that a bandwagon has rolled into town. So they were useful in that regard.

Also, their existence allowed nineties Kerrang to print thousands and thousands of 'posters' (folded A4 spreads) of the bassist wearing the same tartan miniskirt every week, and sometimes in a clinch with that lass from Tura Satana.

No, i will not stand having coal chamber at sonisphere. Can't you at least get a good nu metal band like Static-X, sevendust, Mudvayne, dope or Ill Niño?

Coal chamber has like no fans in england, waste of money. Can't sonisphere bring a decent band like ill nino in?

Me neither

But there's something mad inside me that thinks seeing CC doing stuff like 'Fiend', 'Sway' and 'Loco' would be great. On balance, I'd prefer it if Dez stuck with DevilDriver

i'm not unhappy about this, but its only a tester to see what kind of reaction they might get of a return. devildriver are much better, fact. and most of the time hes been in devildriver he has never wanted to be associated with them again, but people change, and sometimes people wanna bring things back for nostalgia's sake, if they do make it to the uk i'd go watch them

Is anyone nostalgic for Coal Chamber though? "Ah yes, I remember the time I first heard Loco. It was immediately before I turned it off again and put Korn's first album on instead. A great CD - I've never had a coaster that bettered it."

Personal opinions aren't allowed on the internet! you either alter your ways to agree with the majority or shut up and not talk about the subject.
