The original rules from before are in the spoiler. But there are two important changes to these rules.
1: You can now pick 15 undercard predictions. Not twelve, fifteen. Not one hundred like some guy did before, fifteen. Any more and I'll count the first fifteen you write. Any less and you miss out. Simple enough.
2: This isn't so much a change as it's the same way I did things last year, but I did stuff without realising my explanation in the rules was different. Basically, I'd said that if a band was advertised for multiple sets (as Anthrax were), it would be a 500 point bonus. In reality, I just scored the band twice. That's going to stay as the way I do it from here on out.
I also toyed with making Apollo/Saturn bands worth more than acts on Bohemia and below worth double, but I don't think I'm going to do that.
Predict as usual, you have up until the first announcements to make and edit your guesses.
- Read if you like. Or just do what everyone else is doing. | Show
- Here's how to play:
3 bands you think will headline the main stage.
12 other bands you think will appear elsewhere on the bill.
1. You can select any act (even Bryan Ferry), so long as they haven't already been announced.
2. Up until the first announcement, you can make changes to the bands you've chosen.
* Bands are worth more points if less people predict them.
* Headliners are worth more points if predicted correctly.
* A cancelled band is worth less points.
* A band playing more than one set is worth an extra 500 points for each additional set.
(less simple version)
Each band is worth 1000 points, divided between everyone who predicted them. So if 5 people predict Motley Crue play, and 2 people predict that Rival Sons play, then Crue would be worth 200 points for each player, and Rival Sons would be worth 500 points.
If one of the bands you've predicted as a headliner end up headlining on the mainstage, then the point value is tripled (total point value of 3000 points). So if you predicted KISS, 3 other people predict them, and they end up headlining, they'd be worth 750 points. Note this is a mainstage headliner; Saturn and Bohemia headliners don't count.
If one of the bands you've predicted cancels, then they are only worth half points (total point value of 500). So for example, if you had Anthrax and were one of two people who did, and they mysteriously disappear off the bill, then you both get 250 points each. Cancelled headliners do not get triple points.
Only bands that appear on the poster count as scoring bands.
If a band appears on the poster, and I see it, then they get taken off and we never hear about them again, I'll consider it a cancelled band.
If you pick, say, Enter Shikari, and they get booked to play Saturn AND a DJ set in Bohemia, and three others pick them, you get 750 points (250 + 500 point bonus)
