Mick Foley.

Postby PurpleDemon » Wed Apr 16, 2014 12:39 am

So the Comedy Stage isn't happening, it seems. But come on, this has to be inevitable now. Especially with Friday's theme being wrestlers, a Mick Foley stand-up/spoken word slot in Bohemia (similar to Steve-O's 2011 slot) would be incredible. It's an obvious hit for the signing tent too, surely I'm not the only one thinking that this is a total no-brainer now?

Throw him in before Bam Margera, would be a decent slot. Probably before Bizkit.

I really love Mick Foley. His autobiography was a really good read and he has lived such an interesting life.

He has also taken a ridiculous amount of punishment. Not many jobs where you'd do something that rips your ear off and nearly kills you and think "Oh well, it went wrong that time, but I'll go back to it and hopefully it won't happen again".

Also, getting thrown off a 20 foot cage through a table... I know that he was expecting it and so you can manage the fall as well as you can, but still, that's serious hardcore stuff.

I've got a boxset of Mick Foley's DVDs (that I haven't watched for years, but I used to be very into my Wrassling).

I'd love to see him speak. If he clashed with Limp Bizkit, that would be fantastic.

Damn, that'll be incredible as Progress has been frakking ace lately, but I can't imagine how it'll come across on the main stage of a music festival. Was expecting them to just throw a ring up in Bohemia before I saw that they were putting it on Apollo.

Are you getting that the wrestling will be on main stage from this?
get ready to watch men wearing tighter pants than some of those appearing on the Main Stage

'Cause I thought that was just a joke on the fact that some musicians wear tight trousers.
