Red Bull/Jager Stages

Postby PurpleDemon » Sat Dec 14, 2013 10:18 am

So at the last Sonisphere, these two stages had on them quite a few bands that have jumped up considerably in the years since. Watain, Sonic Boom Six, Black Spiders, Rival Sons, Fozzy, Don Broco, Arcane Roots...

Who gets the lower stage slots this year? We've got a Bohemia thread, let's get a thread for this going too.

Van Canto | Show

The Protomen | Show

Linking the full first album because frakk you.

The Hell | Show

Gentlemans Pistols | Show

Silent Descent | Show

Rat Attack | Show

Red Seas Fire | Show

Baby Godzilla | Show

We Are the Physics | Show

All these bands could feasibly drag me away from the other stages. Would certainly make for some seriously difficult clashes.

Red Seas Fire, great choice :D Would be perfectly suited for a small inside stage like Red Bull.

Personally would like to see:
In Solitude
We Are Fiction
Skeletonwitch
Malefice
Falloch
Savage Messiah
Death of an Artist

I am a big fan of these stages. Always have potential to drag me away from main stages. Rival Sons were awesome in 2011!

Bleach Blood could end up on one of these.....new album on it's way!

The Hell are a really great band actually, saw them supporting gallows and was really impressed.

Remember seeing some decent bands on the jäger stage before exit ten and blackhole were both awesome, not sure what kind of sized bands they'd have on there now. Would hope for some hardcore on there in some form

I'm not entirely sure if they'd fit low bohemia Bohemia or these more, but the Lower Stage Bands that would pull me over would be:
Anamanaguchi
Death Grips
a Bomb The Music Industry reunion
Crazy Arm
Heartsounds
Trash Talk
Japandroids
Pepper
Torche
Dave Hause
The World Is A Beautiful Place and I Am No Longer Afraid To Die

Also, Evil Scarecrow are the balls! They always put on a great show.

Whatever you've heard about Baby Godzilla is a lie. They were frakk!ng abysmal on the Kerrang tour last week.

I'd heard good things too but unless you count jumping around, chucking your guitar on the floor and bringing your own amp on stage to climb on as good then you're going to be disappointed. They played as if they'd got together 5 minutes before they came on, although they did co-ordinate one song and that was sh!te too.

Is this where Anxiety comes in and tells us how good Baby Godzilla are?
I'd still like to see them. In Red Bull though, I get the feeling they wouldn't work outdoors.

What are the chances of the Strongbow stage returning this year? It was by far the best out if the three smaller stages as it had an upstairs balcony, the only downside being it only sold strongbow.

Pretty unlikely, I imagine. Strongbow have stopped putting the Bowtime bars at festivals now. I suppose Sonisphere could just steal the stage layout and give it a different name, but I wouldn't get your hopes up.

Dave Hause would be a fantastic booking. I would place him in the Bohemia tent as he is too big for the two smaller stages I think. At his gig he did say he would be back to do festivals in the summer....

Would be amazing. While we're at it, so would Chuck Ragan; he's playing Southside Festival in Germany at the end of June so it's not unrealistic :D

I frakking love Baby Godzilla live. I don't even go for the music, I just watch them for the show.

no jager stage listed at download this year , also not shown as a sponsor for download, cant see them listed as a sponsor at sonisphere either , are we even going to get a jager stage at sonisphere this year , will be very little in alternatives if its just redbull and bohemia , will redbull have an outdoor stage if soni have a comedy tent as they suggested ????

Jager stage won't be added to the Download lineup for a while, as their Jager stage is just an acoustic one. Festival season is a massive boost to Jagermeister every year, they're not going anywhere any time soon.
