terrorvision gallows and FFAF were bohemia headliners in 2010 (as in they had the headline spot on the poster with their own logo and such)

it went:
Friday
bizzare acts
TERRORVISION

Saturday
Renegades
Therapy?
Polar Bear Club
GALLOWS

Sunday
80's Matchbox B-line Disaster
FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND

yeah thast right because thats what bohemias like, they were still headliners though because headliner is a position on the poster not on the bill

even though gallows played quite far down they had the headline on he posters that went out above everyone else

They should bring the Bowtime Bar back.

would be nice, was a great little stage and most people want it but i guess its one of those things that depends very much on sponsorship rather than the bookers

But it was Polar Bear Club that clashed with Rammstein not Gallows. Must admit I do like the headliners not clashing.

2010 was such a good year... Anyway:
Polar Bear Club
Sonic Boom Six
Kvelertak
The Horrible Crowes (Because I'm a hopeless optimist)

All would be nice.

Would love it back, I saw Deaf Havana there in 2010 and thought it was a great little stage. Great to have 3 smaller stages as a way to showcase smaller bands and to increase choice for the punter at little extra cost.

Lower Than Atlantis in Red Bull too in 2010, damn.

Hell, even in 2011 Fozzy were low on Jager, Don Broco were (still) on the Red Bull stage, Rise to Remain and Rival Sons were waaaay down. A lot has changed.

Proof that festivals having stages to showcase smaller bands can help their careers quite a bit. Remember in 2010 when Kverlertak, Malefice, While She Sleeps, Bleed From Within and Deaf Havana were in the Bowtime Bar?

Hell, Download had Heaven's Basement and Don Broco on their third stage last year, and Mallory Knox on fourth.

Festivals do wonders for a band's popularity. I'm praying it works for the Protomen now they've been booked for Warped. Anything as long as it means they play in the UK sometime soon.

I'd love something like Kamelot or Stratovarius in Bohemia. Established bands who, for the main part, don't have a mainstream following over here. Still give them the respect they deserve with a late slot and a long set time or maybe even the late ones, after the mainstage headliners. 8-)

Either of those would be fine, or even Nightwish in an admittedly small slot for them would be awesome. Or Avantasia, with Michael Kiske. That's a recipe for a musicgasm right there. ;)

Most of the people that go to the festival (or who post here) kow anything about those sort of bands though. I'd be stunned if we got any of them although I'd love it.

I agree, I think they should get a Watain like slot rather than Bohemia.

I would be stunned if Blind Guardian, Helloween or Avantasia accepted a slot on the Red Bull stage.

Oh, I thought we were referring to Unisonic for the Red Bull Slot. I think those 3 bands would get low Saturn slots tbh, would be too big for Bohemia but too big to get a prominent slot.

Ok, Unisonic would work on Red Bull for sure. Despite having the guy that pioneered Power Metal they aren't particularly well known yet. Avantasia just wouldn't work at Sonisphere though because they take a whole load of different people with them and would demand a full-length set so a low slot would never work. :(
