To be fair, I think Slayer fans fall into two categories now, the older ones that tend to watch than mosh now and the ones that walk through the campsite yelling SLLLLAAAAAYYYYEEEEERRRR; not very violent. Most idiot metal fans tend to watch bands like Dillinger Escape Plan, Brutality Will Prevail and the like (not a reflection on DEP to be fair, though the BWP has to be one of the biggest gooseberry's I've ever had to watch)
Oh joy another game of truth or troll

The bog standard Metallica set list IS the Greatest Hits set and it's the set they play at festivals every year which is the whole point of my post! Metallica are going to want to drop the greatest hits set for Glastonbury as it will look the same as the Sonisphere set which is supposed to be a special set as the crowd have chosen it. If they play the greatest hits set at Glastonbury the whole Metallica By Request gimmick will look fu cking stupid therefore are gonna want to steer clear of the usual songs.

Nah, they rarely play such an obvious hits set as Soni will be. There's usually 4 or 5 songs thrown in which are a bit more unusual, whether new stuff or covers, even at festivals. Either that or they are doing some kind of album related thingy.
Stoppin and stayin, I would if I could

Being a big fan of Garage Inc., I'm hoping for songs like Blitzkrieg, So What (oh please! please please please!), The Small Hours, and It's Electric! :music-headbanger:

I really wish they were playing all 3 of the "vote of the day" songs, swap them for Nothing Else Matters, Sad But True and Seek And Destroy and it would be perfect!
