Vans Warped Tour Bands

Postby ANXIETY » Tue Nov 19, 2013 8:51 pm

Vans Warped Tour was done by Kili and I think we may get some from there on the bill. Who would you guys want?

I would personally want Billy Talent and Hatebreed (Although may be Bloodstock exclusive) Would say Enter Shikari also, but they are taking a year off to record.

ANXIETY, if you're going to make a thread about Warped Tour bands then why not include a list of the bands on Warped Tour in the opening post? It would encourage discussion and save everyone the bother of having to look it up themselves. Just a suggestion. :P

Enter Shikari headlining Saturn or subheadlining on whatever day has the fresher headliner (I'd assume there'll be someone like Foo Fighters or Muse to balance things out in terms of headliner age) seems possible.

Parkway Drive would be sensible, they were one of the most popular undercard bands on the Biffy day in 2011 (I definitely saw more of their t-shirts than I did of any other band), and three years on I can't imagine anything's changed for the worse. I've never been massively impressed by Rise Against's live shows but I know enough of their material to enjoy them regardless. Billy Talent, however, are always good live and it's about time they showed up at Knebworth.

Hactivist and Crossfaith would be good in Bohemia, Coheed could be around and Team Soni would be stupid if they didn't try to get Max Raptor on one of the main stages early in the day. Yellowcard, Flogging Molly, Sonic Boom Six and Sublime With Rome would be nice too.

Not removing this from my signature until:

Sonisphere UK 2013 is confirmed: [WELP.]
Headliner announcements made: [NOPE.]
Alter Bridge booked: [NADA.]
Arcane Roots booked: [NEVER.]
Outkast booked: [HAHA, NO.]

They won't be playing. No live dates next year at all (Except from maybe a Christmas show, which they normally do)

Thanks ANXIETY!

It will come as no surprise to the board that I have no interest in bands on Warped Tour. :P However, I would like to see Hatebreed and I don't think they're an exclusive for Bloodstock since they haven't been announced as such and they're also doing the Warped Tour event. However, I think it's unlikely that they'd keep coming back to the UK for three one-off shows (unless they're going to be in Europe from the beginning of July to the middle of November.

If Rise Against were announced for Sonisphere, I'd say "Oh that's good - I like Rise Against and they make me want to go to Sonisphere." However, if Download pulls its finger out and announces a slew of bands I want to see, and Rise Against were then announced for Sonisphere, I would say "That's a shame, I like Rise Against and I was hoping they'd play Download, which is where I'm going since that last announcement reversed my opinion on the line-up."

^^^ That should give you a comprehensive insight into my reactions if Rise Against, from the Warped tour, were announced for Sonisphere.

Billy Talent, Hatebreed, Sonic Boom Six and Rat Attack would be nice. I'd watch Rise Against too but I'm not all that fussed about the rest of the bands.

Still think Shikari could play, I've never known them to stick to such extended breaks from touring. They could probably be tempted out the studio in the summer for a couple of festival dates and/or some intimate shows. Fair play if they do stay away that long though, could mean arenas on the back of the next album.

Aye, I imagine they wouldn't be above a break from the studio show if the offer was right.

I've spoken to them quite a few times about the matter, and they have said they have no plans for Summer at all really. Plus Rory C has just had a baby so he wants a bit of time off. I also think they want to build their demand a little so they can come back and push arenas (If you saw the stage show at Warped you would think they are already playing them)

There was a rumour not so long ago that Billy Talent will be playing at Bilbao BBK as well as Sonisphere. I can't find the link now though
