any news on other female headed bands? evanescence? lacuna coil?

Within Temptation - There are no upcoming events for this artist.

Sharon (lead singer of Within Temptation) just had a baby boy, so WT won't be touring for awhile. Shame, because they're incredible live.

So are Nightwish, I would love to see them live again...preferably with Tarja this time but I really, really doubt she'd go back to the band.

Extract from Nightwish's tour dates:

07/18/2009 Artmania Festival Sibiu Romania
07/24/2009 Seinäjoen Vauhtiajot / Race & Rock Festival Seinäjoki Finland
08/08/2009 M'era Luna Festival Hildesheim Germany
08/15/2009 Olavinlinna Savonlinna Finland
08/16/2009 Olavinlinna Savonlinna Finland

They're free to do the UK Sonisphere but until Fear Factory's dropout I hadn't thought them possible due to the slots available. I'd like to see them again but not sure how appreciated they'd be at Sonisphere

I'd like to see them but I still can't see them coming here instead - there are 4 'big' bands to come right?

Depends on what you call 'big' - I'd say Nightwish are more big than small and as they've not got any UK dates at the moment, it wouldn't surprise me if they were one of the last three special guests

We need some female talent on the bill - all we've got as far as I'm aware is Lauren Harris (though I've not checked out every band confirmed so far)

Still possible, maybe saturday in Anthrax's old slot? or early sunday although they'd need a good 30 / 40 min set if they're gonna play poet and the pendulum or ghost love score (Ghost love score is a musical orgasm of perfectness) or am I holidng on tolost hope now? :?

Still possible I reckon given that it's my view that the replacement could go anywhere on that Saturn Stage apart from above Bullet For My Valentine

If Nightwish were to play i think they should move every band on the saturn stage down ,aside Bullet For My Valentine, and place Nightwish underneath them, just above SoiL

So the saturn stage line up on Saturday would go:
Bullet For My Valentine
Nightwish
SoiL
Airbourne
The Used
Skindred

Thoughts and criticisms welcome :)

I assume so, maybe they'll swap the bands around abit. I ain't heard any of their stuff but they seem like a band that has been going a while and that people like so who knows.
Its only based on the thoughts in my head :)

If Nightwish were to replace then maybe they'd go under Bullet but above Airbourne

Soil would go straight to the bottom if they are taking the special guests slot
