Taken from the website

Metallica – Knebworth is the only show that Metallica are playing in the UK in 2009 other than the indoor tour dates that start in Nottingham this Wednesday

Linkin Park – Knebworth is the only show that Linkin Park are playing in the UK in 2009

Avenged Sevenfold – Knebworth is the only show that Avenged Sevenfold are playing in the UK in 2009

Machine Head – Knebworth is the only outdoor festival that Machine Head are playing in the UK in 2009. They are playing indoor shows with Metallica that start this Wednesday in Nottingham

Alice In Chains – Knebworth is the only show that Alice In Chains are playing in the UK in 2009

Fairly sure that Bullet are exclusive as well. Airbourne and Anthrax and NIN would also appear to be Sonisphere only exclusives. I'd say the rest aren't but if we hear anything different, I'll make the necessary amendments to this post

I'm guessing it's English exclusives as NIN are playing T in the Park and Oxygene.

I have a couple of questions about that actually. When it says exclusive to Sonisphere does that mean it's a festival exclusive in England? Does it mean any bands playing can play warm-up shows or have a small tour around it?

Would love an Alice In Chains show at Brixton or somewhere!

Not sure, but I assume Dream Theater are UK exclusive at Download and they're playing off dates on the Friday and Saturday, so I don't see why not

Website says re AIC that Sonisphere is the only UK show they're playing so I'd take it as read that they're not playing anywhere else (including warm-up shows)

It depends on the wording in respect of each band - if it's the only UK festival a band are doing, then you could assume that they can play other shows or do a tour - they just can't play another UK festival

It says on NME.com that Feeders only festival this year will be Sonisphere, so i guess that makes them an exclusive.

I'd say that top 6 or so are, and a few of the smaller one's dotted about...as Triaxis said basically.

I think a band like AIC would lose money doing tours around the Uk. Not that big anymore, too bad because the music was and is still great!

NIN have a one off gig in Manchester right?

I think that (other than the Defenders of the Faith shows they did in Feb) this is an exclusive for Lamb of God. If anyone knows differently and LOG are touring as well, let me know and I will stalk them... LOG, I mean... not the person who tells me about it. That would be weird... Anyway...

Enter Shikari? Is that a frakking joke :(
Also theres nothing wrong with AiC, Killing Joke or Frank TURNER
and Frank Turner isnt playing anymore anyway
If you want Prodigy, Pendulum and Enter Shikari go to Leeds festival.
