Flogging Molly

Postby hash pipe » Wed Feb 22, 2012 9:39 pm

Surprised there isn't a thread about them yet. Only recently got in to them stole speed of darkness off a friend and I love it, highlight of the announcement for me.

Absolutely amazing band. Best band I saw at Nova Rock last summer - they did a full outdoor headline set (hour and a half) at midnight, it was crazy fun. Really looking forward to seeing them again, perfect festival band

So glad these guys have been announced. I had to make the painful decision to miss them for Muse at Leeds Fest last year. But I now get a chance to finally see them!

The best undercard act announced so far, for me - can't frakking wait!

I'd suggest every single person attending Sonisphere gets wrecked off their face and watches Flogging Molly.

I'm not even a giant fan of them on record (they're fine, but nothing amazing) but live, WOW.

great booking.

I have to say I am rather enjoying this. I can imagine their live sound already and am rather looking forward to it.

It's always nice to find new bands to listen to, so thanks Mr. Sonisphere. :D

Flogging Molly are one of those bands you could put on at any music festival and they'd go down well...can't wait to see em!

Can we go moshing and lose our faces in the pit then? Since we never got around to it for Killing Joke or whatever it was
I would really make an effort to see them if I go. Looks awesome.
I like to have a martini - two at the very most.
After three I'm under the table.

What albums/songs would people recommend?
Some of the songs I've youtubed are ok, but I think i'm listening to the filler tracks from some of the albums so not exactly endearing me

The song I've posted is my fave. To be fair, they don't come remotely close on CD to capturing the live experience, barely listen to them at home. Just make sure you go see them

Would recommend most of their singles to listen to. They will play most of these songs as well. They were so good last year in Austria, perfect festival band.

Thread needs more live videos.

People go around saying that Dropkick Murphys are the best Irish punk band around, but they really aren't.
