that's simply not true. There's very little in it either way. Personally I'd say Rammstein have a better show than Kiss, but it's not as though one blows the other out of the water either way.

One of the bands I'm most excited to be seeing out of the line up for the sheer spectacle and the classic tunes. I defy even the biggest party pooper not to punch the air like a loon whilst they are on. If you don't at least once you may actually be clinically dead or maybe just a little inside :-p

I'm looking forward to seeing KISS too....I've only seen them twice before (Donington '88 & Wembley '92) but never since they returned to wearing make-up.

I'm hoping for a set list that mixes songs from their early days as well as 80's + (I'd be happy with something like this)

1. Detroit Rock City
2. Creatures Of The Night
3. Cold Gin
4. Dr Love
5. Heaven's On Fire
6. Love Gun
7. Strutter
8. Unholy
9. Modern Day Delilah
10. God Of Thunder
11. Shout It Out Loud
12. I Stole Your Love
13. I Love It Loud

14. Lick It Up!
15. Crazy, Crazy Nights
16. Rock n Roll all night (and party every day)

Not to burst your bubble, but they may have a new album out by soni, so will likley play some new tracks (and probably 1 or 2 off sonic boom)

As they wont have any europe shows before hand it might be quite hard to tell what they are going to play.

Hoping for all of the hits and i imagine they will play a few new ones as well.

I assume it'll be like Megadeth last year, which was effectively a greatest hits set, with a brand new song thrown in.

Yeah and because KISS have longer to play, they might throw 2 or 3 new songs in.

Im near 100% sure all these songs will be played
Rock and Roll All Nite
Shout It Out Loud
Detroit Rock City
Love Gun
I Was Made for Lovin' You
Lick It Up
Crazy Crazy Nights

Hopefully they play New York Groove as well :)

I'd add Strutter and God Gave Rock And Roll To You in there. They'll probably play Modern Day Delilah if they need something off Sonic Boom.

I'd urge you all to listen to Talk Is Cheap Vol.2 the spoken work album by Henry Rollins. He talks about his Kiss concert experience. It is one of the funniest things I've listened to and if you don't want to see them after hearing it there's something wrong! I can't wait :D

That'd be Jon Bon Jovi & Richie Sambora in 1984 then.

I think you mean 1983 when Helix & Heavy Pettin opened.

I have just been on the Kiss online site and they have a clock counting down at 3 days 10 hours and whatever minutes and seconds for some kind of an announcement, hopefully it is who is going to be their special guests at sonisphere.

More likely a US tour announcement, I reckon.

I was thinking the same, when Maiden headlined they specificaly asked for Pendulum to be their special guests and maybe Kiss have done the same and asked if they could announce it. Saying all that it probably be an announcement of their tour in America.

You really have no clue, how many KISS songs have you heard three??? Not many bands have a back catalogue like KISS,diverse in many ways....Its easy to sit on a forum and throw stones.Im guessing your about 15 judging by your idiotic statement..

Still each to their own..

It saddens me that people moan about KISS - I always saw them as this big legendary rock band that were a sure-fire hit at a festival, like Aerosmith or Iron Maiden. Shame, really, how the internet has made things.

Whether the songs are any good or not is simply a matter of opinion, you say potato etc...

My response was to the original post which was way off the mark.I bet he couldnt name ten Kiss songs without researching them, typical inane comment.Im also sure the bands that you like have a plethora of good song?? ,lets hear them!!

Truth be told KISS have been around for nearly 40 years,a few fireworks, levitating drum kit and confetti can only take you so far in this business. Most people cant see past the make up and immediately think of Crazy Nights when they hear KISS mentioned.I smile when people call them cheesy, sure Gene can be an arse but they can play and put most bands to shame with their energy and commitment to ensure fans have a good time at their shows......

KISS live is an EVENT....Sonisphere be prepared to witness greatness!!

I've listened to enough songs by Kiss to know they all sound the same! they are a bit like Iron Maiden if you've heard one song you've heard them all.

And i'm 16 and one half thank you very much Getaway so i know my sh it about music and the ways of the world.
