Playing their album "The Hunter" in full, a bit of a change from last year. I'm very excited to see them again regardless :D

Saw them last week - they were immense.
Not convinced they really work on a big stage and in daylight, but well worth a look.

1st sonisphere, their sound was horrific and it just didn't work, last year tho, they were incredible, one of the highlights of the weekend.

I totally agree with JAMEZ on the sound issue. I left halfway in 2009, and I was really excited for them!

Looking forward to this, especially as it means I already have all of the material they will be playing.

For those that have been to these kind of things before, do they usually play from track 1 through to the end in order, or mix it up?

on the Crack The Skye tour, they did Crack The Skye from beginning to end, and then like 5 other songs, i'm guessing they'll do a similar thing (hopefully lob a couple of extra thangs at the end like a March of the Fire Ants or Blood and Thunder).

The album in full is 53 minutes, so I can't see them doing anything extra to be honest... they're not gonna get more than an hour for set times.

So do they usually mix up the order of the set, or would they play it in order?

I know that Crack The Skye would have needed to be in order, but not sure about this one.

every full album set I've seen/heard of has been done in order.

waits for someone to list examples where it wasn't done like that

When QotSA did QotSA in full last year it was mostly in order but one of the songs was switched with another I believe

Yeah, I'm gonna be "that guy" to dispute what you say hash pipe :P

didn't realise it was that long tbh. I'm sure they'll do that and nothing else then

I'd imagine it'd be in order, but then they'd end on The Sparrow, which I'd imagine is an anti-climatic closer, while The Creature Lives is a big sing-a-long song that they've been using on the tour to close. Might mix it up?

I'm betting they play The Hunter start to finish, then tack on Mother Puncher or something similar at the end.

If they've got time it'd probably be Blood & Thunder

Now would probably be a good time to give The Hunter a proper listen

Quite enjoying it so far

The only time I've seen a full-album show done out of order was the Earth Vs The Wildhearts anniversary at Shepherd's Bush, where they forgot one of the songs and tacked it onto the end of the set.

Earth Vs in full would be amazing.

Can totally imagine them ballsing it up like that though

Yes, if there's one band that could make a pig's ear of something as straightforward as playing an album from front to back, it's The Wildhearts. Brilliant show, though - one of the very best from the many times I've seen them. They played all the b-sides from the Earth Vs era as well.

I'm pretty glad they're playing the Hunter tbh. There are quite a few of my favorite songs (Stargasm, the Sparrow, the Hunter ect.) that they didn't include in the tour setlist :-x so this might be my only chance to hear them live.

This should be great.

I was wondering how they'd mix the shorter punchier stuff with the more elaborate compositions, well I guess this answers that question.

Should be fantastic, it's a pretty natural record to play live. In the long run I hope they sort it out, because I feel like they should be a better live band (they play perfectly) but I always feel their let down by set structure and pacing issues.

Like much of their "back catalogue" but I was blown away by the Hunter and their performance last year so I'm praying that if they are stuck on Saturn that the sound isnt f$%"ed as it has been in previous years .

Will be my fourth time seeing them and I haven't heard any songs from The Hunter live yet so this is a perfect idea for me!
