Really wanted to see them in a tent but I'll take them in any form whatsoever

Why has nobody posted

Getting excited thinking about what they're gonna play. They mentioned in their statement they never did Shape 'justice' and it's their biggest album anyway but I hope it isn't overloaded with it. As many songs from the first half of Songs To Fan The Flames as possible! This is my personal dream:

The Apollo Programme Was A Hoax (Tape intro)
Worms Of The Senses/Faculties Of The Skull
Liberation Frequency
Summerholidays Vs. Punkroutine
Trickbag
Hook, Line And Sinker
Pump The Brakes
Pretty Face
Coup D'État
The Deadly Rhythm
Return To The Closet
Life Support Addiction
The Shape Of Punk To Come
Circle Pit
Worthless Is The Freedom Bought...
New Noise
The Slayer

Cant imagine them not playing Rather Be Dead tbh. Listening to them right now :D

I'd suggest everyone planning on coming to Sonisphere listens to the album The Shape Of Punk To Come.

To be honest I'd suggest everyone who's not coming to Sonisphere listens to it as well...and then comes to Sonisphere.

Yeah you'd imagine Rather Be Dead, Refused Party Program and Refused Are Fuckin' Dead will all be in there as well...but I wouldn't have them in place of any of the others. Pretty Face would be out of this world as unlikely as it is.

I just hope the crowd's not just gonna lose it to Shape songs and only go in half-hearted for Coup D'État and the like. Those should be the best moshes

I thought I had already posted in here to be honest. Band I'm most looking forward too, and one I thought I'd never see at one point. Very glad they've been given a great slot as well, them right before FNM is going to be brilliant! :D

They are tempting me to the festival more than any other band

You'd be a fool to miss it! It's their only UK gig this year and who knows how long the reunion is gonna last, from what I gathered from their website when they reformed, they seemed to suggest it's one big tour as a proper farewell seeing as a lot of their fanbase has never got to see them live. Though maybe they will stick around.

I'll watch them.

They seem alright. Maybe they'll grow on me in my pre-festival listening!

A lot of bands say that. and a lot of bands also say they'll never reform, as Refused did only two years ago.

Oh for sure, but a lot of bands just come back for one big sweep/payday then disappear again - depends on what they motivation behind it all was and if they were happier doing their own things.

meh... i will see what happens with refused. might be a nice change.

Let's not get into the things that Refused have said, kind of problematizes the whole thing...

This is the band most likely to ruin my weekend as my expectation are far too high for them to match.

Hopefully they put some absolute horseshit on before hand to deflate my pre-Refused buzz.

I've wanted to see this band live since I was in high school!
I can't believe Soni managed to book them! But I guess the only other option offered to Refused would have been headlining the Lock-Up stage at Reading/Leeds.
