Such an overrated band.

Please do not let them be added to the France lineup.
2011 - 05 May Iron Maiden (Frankfurt, Germany), 18 June Roger Waters The Wall Live (Duesseldorf, Germany), 2 July - Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax (Gelsenkirchen, Germany), 8-9 July Sonisphere France (Amneville)

They were amazing in 2009. On par with Skindred and co that year. They better bring it this year

Pretty much the worst band in history but I can either watch someone else or eat chips during them so not that bothered. Probably a good booking for the festival considering their new album and all that, even if I do hate them.

Duff band
Bit of fun to watch but they command a slot that should really be reserved for bands with a bit more to offer.

Not my cup of tea, but they'll draw a crowd.

Mind numbingly awful,

avoid Sunday at Reading last year largely because of them, so this does nothing for me.

That said, they are very very popular, will draw a crowd, and I know all there songs, so it's good booking.

Just not something that interests me.

Seen them 3 times already in the last 2 years.

First time (Download 09) they were amazing. Took me back to my rebellious teenage years. Almost perfect setlist, consisting of all their hits (didn't play 'Boiler' though - still not heard that tune live!)

Second time (Soni 09) they played the exact same setlist as they did at Download, just in a different order. Wasn't as enjoyable as a result, which was a shame, as I was really looking forward to them off the back of their Download set.

Then the third time (Leeds Fest 2010) they were tame and boring. What I expected though, when they were playing to what was essentially an indie crowd.

So not looking forward to them this time. Although I will still probably end up watching them, barring an amazing Bohemia clash.

saw em at the same 3 shows, and pretty much the exact same reviews. probably wont watch them, but will depend if I'm in the arena for other bands around that time

dont think they need to be here again, and they'll take up a pretty big slot. they're past their best, new album or not

This is what has disappointed me. Soni could have used the Sunday sub slot on someone a lot better. Someone who hasn't been seen at a festival for a while. Someone...fresh. Like Velvet Revolver 8-)

*jumpes in*
Velvet Revolver don't have a big enough back catalogue to play a sub headliner slot (if that's what the LB on is)
*goes to stand in the back again*

Maybe so, but:
1 - They're rumoured to be Andy Copping's 'monster sub-headliner' at Download
2 - They're technically a reunion band, which automatically increases any bands stock
3 - Depends on who the new frontman is
4 - It's got frakking SLASH

Besidesa few VR songs, I'm not a big fan. Would prefer we just get Slash, that way he can do some VR hits, some of his own stuff and some GNR. Sorted 8-)

LB are far from my favourite band, and I agree that it's a high up repeat. But I missed most of their set in 09 and they'll be fun either way so it's far from the worse booking, I'd still definitely watch them, and overall the line up is tops...so yeah :P Already ecstatic with Weezer as one of the subs too, so can't win 'em all!
