I've had the chance to see these twice before, and regretted not both times. This time I will be.

Can't. Wait.

Awesome in 2009, and I hope for it to be just as awesome if not better this time round. Think they will be on the main stage this time round?

Didn't quite appreciate them as much when we saw them the first time.
I like to have a martini - two at the very most.
After three I'm under the table.
After four I'm under my host

I saw them in Newcastle when supported by Stone Gods & it was awful to be fair. I dont know whether to put it down to the sound in the 02 Academy or Airbourne. Will definately go to see them at Soni just to make sure.

Put it down as the sound, I saw them at cambridge on the same tour. Was a tiny venue as well and they just blew me away!
Stone gods were pretty good as well!

maiden are playing some newer songs though (fair enough as its their tour for the new album) but i haven't seen them live before and i would have liked to hear more of the old songs (like powerslave)

There's a thread about the tour setlist under the 'Music' sub-forum, apparently it's going to be 1/2 new/old. Powerslave is my favourite Maiden song to but I don't think they'll play it :(

yeah i think i read that - they've played their first concert of the tour now (in russia or something) and its probably gonna be the same setlist for the whole tour. my favourite maiden albums are powerslave, fear of the dark, somewhere in time, and (of course) number of the beast - haven't even listened to their latest album yet! is it good?

It's a grower. I started off listening to it and I thought it was pretty poor because the songs are considerably long and 'proggy' but if you keep listening to it then you might start to love it like I do now :)

just finished listening to the opening track (title track) and the way i would describe it is different but still great :D
its like the first half of the song is an intro and the classic maiden kicks in at just after the half-way mark :bow-yellow:
