The old guy in the beige trousers? He's really going for it! Or is that why people think he's weird? :P

It's weird how he's stood right next to the other guy and not on the other side of Simon :/

EDIT: Haha what's with his Hitler walk at 2:55

no its weird for him to go for it - if you watch their wembley show he's barely moving
i think whats weird about him is that he just doesnt seem to fit in with the band, no matter what he's doing

Yes it's Mike Vennart, the frontman from Oceansize. A band that sadly split in February this year, but nontheless had more talent in their little toe than 90% of bands in this years line up.

i took this comment as a recommendation so i listened to them just now :P i agree they're good, but your comment is pretty harsh on the bands at sonisphere - i think its a great line up this year and fortunately there are only a few bands that i dont like :D

Oceansize splitting up made me :(

However Mike is a great guitarist and works very well with Biffy. The extra guitar gives them that proper arena rocky sound, that suits them when playing the venues they play these days!

Yeah probably a little harsh - just goes to show what an Oceansize fanboy i was :D

I just really can't get into a lot of metal bands if i'm honest, they bore me.....and as for all the teen-rock stuff on the saturday :? There's still plenty of bands worth watching though, and that's why i'll be there!!

PS. Check out Amplifier on the sunday (i'm a fan boy of them also), and give ACDC-lite a miss :D

I'm so happy I saw Oceansize at Sonisphere 2009, it was one of the best sets of the weekend. Also Amplifier have Steve Durose from Oceansize playing with them :)

Looking at their recent setlists we'll probably be expecting something like this?
| Show
The Captain
That Golden Rule
Glitter and Trauma
Born On a Horse
God & Satan
Who's Got a Match?
Shock Shock
Know Your Quarry
Living Is a Problem Because Everything Dies
Bubbles
Machines
57
Many of Horror
Mountains
Justboy*
New Song*
Toys, Toys, Toys, Choke, Toys, Toys, Toys*
Cloud of Stink*
Saturday Superhouse*
Booooom, Blast and Ruin‏*
There's no such thing as a Jaggy Snake*

Little Soldiers
Questions And Answers
Breatheher
Loneliness
A Whole Child Ago
Hope For An Angel

Obviously not in that order and the songs with * next to them are probably less likely, but still fairly likely. I'm pretty much doubting the last six songs but, as said earlier, they were played acoustically recently, so could be possible.
Not my ideal setlist, but it looks alright to me :)
