Possibility of new songs being played. They're recording now and then going on tour in march/april, then recording again, maybe the album will nearly be out by July, and they'll debut some new stuff at Sonisphere :music-rockon:

Best of the Big Four. I'd love to hear Trust and Dialetic Chaos. And of course loads of stuff from Rust in Peace and Countdown to Extinction.

I saw Megadeth before, at Milton keynes bowl with AC/DC, way back in 2001 (I believe it was, Offspring and QOTSA were there too, QOTSA bored the hell out of me, but thats not important/ really the issue here).

I liked them (Megadeth), to be honest. I think they were touring their World Needs A Hero album at the time.

I'd love to hear sweating bullets live.
But Holy Wars is by far their greatest song. The albums from The System Has Failed onwards have been great too in my opinion.

i was at that gig too, Megadeth were great even though they only got 30 mins which is far too short.

im hoping there will be a lot of rust in peace, countdown and youthanasia with a few other great songs like turst and peace sells thrown in. will be a great set no matter what though :)

First off, someone needs to change their photo to include current lead guitarist, Chris Broderick and current bass guitarist Dave Ellefson... that photo is at least 4 years old. Secondly, I cannot WAIT to see these guys. As a relative Megadeth newbie, I was shocked to see how my opinion of the band as a whole has changed. What happened? I don't know. Their performance on the Big 4 DVD from Sofia was pure TIGHT. Never have I heard a song as 'old' as Holy Wars sound so fresh. I've missed them play live enough times now to make them the band I really HAVE to see this year. Now, sonisphere. Don't make the same mistake as was made in Switzerland and separate the Big Four between Apollo and Saturn... I'll be really frakking disappointed if you do.

1) Take No Prisoners
2) Holy Wars...The Punishment Due
3) Peace Sells
4) Rust In Peace... Polaris
5) Into The Lungs Of Hell

I don't really like Megadeth that much, only have one really good album.

Love Megadeth as well. Not as much as my favorite Metallica, but I have always had a soft spot for this band and they are certainly one of my favorites. Live they have been sort of hit or miss though. I have seen them when they are really great and sometimes they just seem to be off. That is the way live music is though...;)
2011 - 05 May Iron Maiden (Frankfurt, Germany), 18 June Roger Waters The Wall Live (Duesseldorf, Germany), 2 July - Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax (Gelsenkirchen, Germany), 8-9 July Sonisphere France (Amneville)

They released a great record with Endgame, then only played Headcrusher for their Big 4 set... Pretty much let me down, I wanted to see more songs from that album. Hopefully they'll do more from the album this year. 44 Minutes, 1320 and This Day We Fight! would be epic

Saw Megadeth last year at Download and I quite enjoyed them, I've been a fan since I was 16 so last year was my first time seeing the band as i said I enjoyed their set the only thing I didn't enjoy was being so over heated during the earlier main stage acts that I was to tired to stand so i took a step back laid down on the grass and listen to an epic show so hopefully I can manged to keep myself from overheating and enjoy the whole show from a vertical postion
