Volbeat

Postby morganianskulls » Thu Dec 16, 2010 7:52 pm

I know James Hetfield is a big fan so with the Big 4 playing friday how about Volbeat in bohemia afterwards or on Saturday?

Would be good as they canceled their tour. Not sure they would fit in on same day as Big four

I've been checking them out since the announcement yesterday, and I have come to the conclusion that they are awesome. I've ordered the new album.

Out of all the latest announced bands minus Limp Bizket these are the only ones that appeal to me so I will be definately giving their stuff more of a listen to before Soni.

Absolutely love these, although I missed them at DL last year due to being a main stage barrier camper.

MASSIVE Volbeat fan! My heart was broken when they cancelled the headline tour :( but they are always fantastic at festivals and they will be blinding at Sonisphere! Apart from perhaps Gojira, Volbeat are the band I am currently most looking forward to seeing again!!!!

This has made the festival for me. Was absolutely gutted when they cancelled their UK tour. Shame they'll only get about a half hour set 'cause they're not very big over here. Hopefully that'll change soon!

They really need to be bigger over here :) and imo they should be. Looking forward to seeing them this year, missed them at download last year for some reason i cant remember, probably alcohol related.

So it looks like another 30 minute festival set for Volbeat.... so that's enough time for 6/7 songs at a push.

Seriously need to do some proper promoting of any potential UK headline shows at knebworth!

Can't wait to see these guys again! Seen them support Metallica both nights in Belfast last year with High on Fire, and they were awesome. Gutted when they cancelled their double header with Black Spiders late last year. Defo gona be one of my highlights of the weekend.

Amazed they have a main stage HEADLING slot at Nova Rock, above Korn, Danzig tho. Must be huge in Austria.

Going to see them headline Greenfield Festival in Switzerland. I just hope that plenty of people turn up to see them at Knebworth and get the UK machine revved so we can see more of their own shows here.

they're sub-headlining Graspop in Belgium also, might not have all sub-heads announced so far, but they're in that position on the lineup currently.

they deserve to become just as big in the UK as they are in Europe, such a superb band, the vocals are different to other bands of a similar style which is refreshing, and they have great songs, and some superb covers. brilliant band, really hope they tour again soon, (with a damn Brighton date)

Anyone got some songs they're likely to play/a rough setlist?
Want to check them out but not sure what to expect.

Not sure what they will play, but as a starting point get, The Strength, the Sound, the Songs. Fantastic album.
