Top five:

Alice Cooper, amazingly enough. Always loved Poison, of course and the obligatory School's Out but holy hell, was his entire set amazing or was it not?
Maiden
Anthrax
Slayer
Europe

Who disappointed:
Iggy. Dear God but he was crap.
Rammstein. Actually, they didn't disappoint - I'm just not a fan so wasn't expecting to enjoy them as such. I watched a bit of them just so as I could say I'd seen them but I wasn't overjoyed.

Next year:
Anthrax. Can't get enough.

Would love to see Metallica back again.

Megadeth. ACDC.
Knebworth 2011 - Big 4. You know it makes sense.

Your Top Five of the Weekend
Maiden
Sylosis
Evile
Rise To Remain
Sweet Savage

Who Disappointed?
Turisas - awful and they murdered Supernaut - sacrilege

Who would you want back for 2011 or 2012?
Gallows - I missed them to see Rammstein

Any other comments about the lineup?
Although good at their thing I'm not sure Pendulum belonged at Soni - maybe V or Glasto for that stuff

Who do you want for 2011?
Exodus
Nevermore
Testament
Disturbed
Machine Head
Black Veil Brides

Who will till the soil of these barren black remains?

Your Top Five of the Weekend

1. Iron Maiden - A sheer masterclass in how to headline a festival. The set list was great to me but i DO understand how to a casual watcher a few more classics wouldn't go amiss.

2. Sabaton - Caught these live at Graspop the month before, what a cracking band, they are destined for bigger things!

3. The Cult - Ok i'm 34, so these just reminded me of my teenage years and were a lot of fun

4. Fear Factory - So good to have these back

5. Terrorvision - Tequila really does make me happy. Main stage next time though lol
Who Disappointed?

Who would you want back for 2011 or 2012?

Would rather see new names, but if some repeats definately Sabaton, Therapy Skunk Anansie and Terrorvision. Hell bring back Maiden too haha

Any other comments about the lineup?

Pretty much something for everyone, i haven't seen as strong a lineup for ages to be honest and thats precisely why we came after swearing post 06 Download we'd never do another UK fest - Been doing Graspop since and Sonisphere reminds me a lot of that.

Who do you want for 2011?

Big 4 would be great, but like someone said do it on Friday, 5pm till midnight, bliss!
Otherwise Rob Zombie, Airbourne, Skin, Korn possibly Ozzy for headliner?
A little south of sanity... otherwise known as Dorset

Your Top Five of the Weekend
In no particular order:
Rammstein
Iron Maiden
Gary Numan
Placebo
Pendulum

Who Disappointed?

No one really disappointed. Slayer were decent, but not magnificent, so I guess that wasn't as good as I expected/hoped!

Who would you want back for 2011 or 2012?

Tough call, not too keen on repeats, I missed Gallows though so they'd be awesome! Same with Sick of it all!

Any other comments about the lineup?

Nicely balanced and wide ranging, hopefully they can make it as good next year!

Who do you want for 2011?

Queens of the Stone Age, Soundgarden, Bad Religion, Foo Fighters would be awesome ;)

Only Problem was Corey Taylor. They had the same problem last year they shove him in a small tent. They need to move him to either the Apollo stage or Jagermeister Stage or Strongbow Bowtime Bar I know the last 2 aren't big stages but at-least they are outside

Your Top Five of the Weekend

Sabaton,Rammstein,Corey Taylor,Turisas,Skindred

Who Disappointed?

Iron Maidens setlist,I felt bad for the non-huge fans that had no idea what songs were being played.
Lacuna Coil were utter shite live.

Who would you want back for 2011 or 2012?

Sabaton but further up in the lineup.
Turisas but with a longer set.
Pendulum so I won't miss them again :D

Any other comments about the lineup?

I really liked the sub-genre diversity.I really didn't expect Doom or Stoner metal bands like Katatonia or Kylsea to be added, and I thought Katatonia were great. Also less repeat acts next year please :)

Who do you want for 2011?

Muse,Green Day,Judas Priest,Slipknot,Behemoth,Blind Guardian,Kamelot.

Your Top Five of the Weekend
65daysofstatic
Gary Numan
Placebo
Iron Maiden
Skindred (third time seeing them this year and they're still not ever going to get boring)

Who Disappointed?
Corey Taylor for being on when Placebo were on so I had to miss him... :P

Who would you want back for 2011 or 2012?
Skindred. Always. Nearly every post here seems to agree :P
65daysofstatic again would be awesome too :D
I'd love Placebo and Gary Numan again but that's of course not the best of decisions :P

Any other comments about the lineup?
The Fab Beatles were brilliant (nearly made my top 5), I can't wait to see who'll take their place next year :)

Who do you want for 2011?
Dunno really... as I've said, Skindred and 65daysofstatic, maybe Avenged Sevenfold (because of the new album), David Bowie, The Cure, and/or Depeche Mode? :D

[quote="koalabravoMost disappointing.
Iggy Pop.
To do none of your biggest hits is just plain fuckin' rude!
 if you are referencing songs like The Passenger or Lust for Life - it was Iggy and the Stooges, NOT Iggy Pop, Iggy doesn't do his I-Pop stuff when he's with the Stooges

dunno if this has been commented on, haven't read all five pages yet

Your Top Five of the Weekend

Rammstein
Sylosis
Skindred
The Cult - nostalgia
Soulfly

Who Disappointed?

Iron Maiden, I am not a huge fan although I do some of their stuff and even though I understand that they don't want to get stuck doing their older material I watched them at Download in 2007 and I think the balance there was better, also had a better stage layout and show. Think this was more for Maiden fans than a festival crowd

Who would you want back for 2011 or 2012?

Sabaton (missed), Gallows (missed), Turisas :) , Rammstein :bow-yellow:

Any other comments about the lineup?

Not much plenty of bands so seldom stuck, would rather have the comics on after the bands in bohemia

Who do you want for 2011?

Stone Sour
Lamb of God
Machine Head
Korn
Motorhead
Bloodhound gang
Bowling for Soup
Black Sabbath
Led Zepplin
Megadeath
Kiss
Disturbed
Airbourne
Devildriver
Queen theme night
Eagles of death Metal
Queens of the Stone Age
Them Crooked Vultures
Killswitch Engage
Tenacious D
Hellyeah
"RAF Rozzer Bands with an appeal to more than one audience should get their chance to play different types of festivals. If the music's liked by those attending and it's in some way relevant, why not let them play? And going by the massive crowd they pulled, I'd say I'm not the only one who thinks it. Some could argue the Iggy Pop or Placebo were less relevant to Soni than Pendulum were! I'm not saying that they weren't, but Pendulum did have a massive appeal.
great point - if only "metal" bands played - you'd get bored to tears. Need a bit of variety to sex things up. Slayer / AIC / Maiden all represent different rock subgenres and make the event more fulfilling i reckon.

Rise Against, Disturbed.
I can still see the bouncy tatty bojangles, but please don't cure me.

One thing I would like to see next year, with regards to the Stand-Up comedians,is can they be played at night?Y'know, after the bands?

Thought it was kinda weird Andrew O'Niell and Minchin were playing in the middle of the day and everyone in the audience was standing up watching them.. :?

Most people only stayed through the Stand-Up to get a spot for Corey Taylor...Well I did at least. It's just kind of unusual having to choose between a band and a Stand-Up comedian at a Music festival. Most people are automatically going to choose the band.

So why not have whatever stand-up comedians play at night after the bands?
