Your Top Five of the Weekend
Skindred - Awesome. Benji is a great front man.
Rammstein - Anyone else with pyro will now look like a dick.
InMe - have still got it and got a heroes welcome despite NO press coverage in the last 4 years.
Pendulum - Looked an odd choice but they proved doubters wrong. They sounded HUGE!
Turisas - A perfect festival band

Who Disappointed?
Slayer - Shown up by Pendulum big time.
Dir En Grey - What the frakk was that? Awful.

Who would you want back for 2011 or 2012?
Skindred in a tent.
Rollins was good too. Him again but outside.

Any other comments about the lineup?
Very diverse. A lot of odd bookings. Why book a headliner in Bohemia and then give them 45 mins @ 8pm in competition with other bands, then give a non headliner longer with no clashes? Organisers got lucky that slayer fans voted with their feet and not bottles

Who do you want for 2011?
More of the same. Book more younger british bands on the main stages.

Your Top Five of the Weekend
Kvelertak

Nobody I was expecting to be really good but out of others I thought Apocalyptica were pretty naff and Fightstar from what I saw as well.

Who would you want back for 2011 or 2012?
Karnivool, Kvelertak.

Any other comments about the lineup?
The smaller stages >>>>>>>>>>> main stages overall. I only saw six full main stage sets all weekend.

Your Top Five of the Weekend
Skunk Anansie
65 Days of Static
Iggy and The Stooges
Alice in Chains
Pendulum

Who Disappointed?
Placebo - and given that I wasn't expecting much, that took some doing.

Who would you want back for 2011 or 2012?
Skunk Anansie

Any other comments about the lineup?
Overall, very good and varied across all stages. Some of the Apollo and Saturn bands were not main stage material; the exodus away from Apollo just before Good Charlotte attests to that. However, pretty well done.

Who do you want for 2011?
-Down
- Corrosion of Conformity have just started touring again.
-Tool would be a real catch
- Clutch
- The Prodigy

Long time festi goer but first time to Soni and first post here - so hello all!

Your Top Five of the Weekend

Skunk Anansie
Slayer
Soulfly
Ramstein
Alice Cooper

with special mentions for Anthrax, Europe and Turisas - but basically a great line up

Who Disappointed?

Iron Maiden - Lasted an hour - had to give up when it stated to remind me of Marillion! I'm sure harcore fans of IM would have loved hearing the new stuff and if it's an Iron Maiden show, then fine - but this was a festival - would have been nice to hear more of the classics.

Motley Crue - I love Crue but too many technical issues and Vince clearly didn't know the words to 10 Seconds to Love and he obviously hadn't warmed up.

Who would you want back for 2011 or 2012?

Slayer and Skunk Anansie

Any other comments about the lineup?

Great diverse line up - better undercard than Download this year

Who do you want for 2011?
Your Top Five of the Weekend
And So I Watch You From Afar
InMe
Sick Of It All
Slayer
Funeral For A Friend

Who Disappointed?
Apocalyptica - They should have just done a Metallica medley.

Who would you want back for 2011 or 2012?
Skindred as standard, I'd also like Pendulum back although they'd have to play the same slot I guess.

Any other comments about the lineup?
Was a bit annoyed that Polar Bear Club clashed with Rammstein. I think last year's Bohemia system with 2/3 bands going on during the headliner and then having 2 more bands late night followed by comedy was much better. FFAF could have done with more time tbh.

Who do you want for 2011?
Corey Taylor in whatever form he's coming back in, SOAD if it happens, and QOTSA would really sell me the ticket.

I definitely agree with this, having FFAF on directly before Maiden was especially ridiculous.

Your Top Eight of the Weekend
Rammstein - Honestly, the best live band I have ever seen.
Maiden - Very close to also being the best live band I have ever seen.
Turisas - Perfect band for the opening day of the festival. Really know how to perform live.
Pendulum - Very good set, and loved Self vs Self.
Papa Roach - Performed a lot better then I thought they would, and have always been a fan.
Skindred - Needless to say that I would be happy with them to play every year. Benji is hilarious aswell.
Anthrax - Thought they was alot better then last year, and thought that their set was fantastic.
Placebo - Really wasn't expecting much of them, but they proved me wrong with a blinding set.

Who Disappointed?
Gary Numan - Just bored me half to death.
Lacuna Coil - I think I only stayed for Cristina
Good Charlotte - The band that I was looking forward to most of the weekend. Was a good set, but I was expecting better.

Who would you want back for 2011 or 2012?
Skindred
Turisas
Black Spider
And So I Watch From A Far

Any other comments about the lineup?
Fantastic line up. Was spoilt for choise at alot of times. Best Headliners possible in my opinion.

Who do you want for 2011?
Tool
Kiss
Faith No More
Guns N Roses
Alestorm
Slipknot
Deftones
Black Sabbath
Black Label Society.

Kellermensch

Who would you want back for 2011 or 2012?

The less repeats the better, really

Any other comments about the lineup?

I think the biggest problem was with the set times. The whole FFAF/Gallows thing was poorly thought out and it's irritating that 90% of the bands only had half an hour, including stage headliners.

Your Top Five of the Weekend

1. Alice Cooper
2. Anthrax
3. The Cult
4. Terrorvision
5. Black Spiders

Who Disappointed?

Iron Maiden.....A band I love, but to have put that stage on to the main stage meant that anyone at a slight angle couldnt see a bloody thing. I was 2 people from the front, stage left slightly and couldnt see Nicko at all and only saw the band when they walked to the front of the stage. Like watching them through a letter box. Pathetic.

Gary Numan, was looking forward to it but what a bloody mumbler he was.

It hurts me to say, but the Crue were awful, and I have seen them many times. Me thinks they wont be around for much longer.

Who would you want back for 2011 or 2012?

1. Alice Cooper
2. Anthrax
3. The Cult
4. Terrorvision
5. Black Spiders

Any other comments about the lineup?

Who do you want for 2011?

KISS, KISS, KISS, KISS, KISS, KISS, KISS, KISS, KISS, KISS, KISS, KISS, KISS, KISS, KISS, KISS, KISS, KISS

A fantastic weekend, legs arent as knackered as at Download, will be back again next year.

Your Top Five of the Weekend

Slayer
Rammstein
Iron Maiden
Sylosis
Therapy/Bleed from within

Who Disappointed?

Rammstein, but only because the set was too short!
Alice Cooper/Motley Crue - tired and cliched

Who would you want back for 2011 or 2012?

Slayer
Rammstein (unlikely!)
Henry Rollins

Any other comments about the lineup?

Some of the running order was plain weird and the price of the lack of clashes is that bands just don't get long enough.

Who do you want for 2011?

System of a down
Megadeth
Trivium 2/2, Me First & the Gimme Gimmes 28/2
Tragedy 23/3, FFDP 30/3
(Devildriver) + Sylosis + Bleed from Within 4/4
Suicide Silence 27/6
Sonisphere 3-6/7
Machinehead 4/8, The Hives 21/8
Rise Against 10/11, Volbeat 17/11
Kreator 18/12

Are at taste of chaos in November, just so you know.

For me, I adored Alice Cooper, Pendulum obviously, Medina Lake, Funeral For a Friend was so intimate, shame about the sound though. I totally enjoyed the Fab Beatles too, even though people didn't seem to be getting into it as much as they did with Abba (totally chuffed that they sang what we had asked them to)

Placebo were disappointing

Next year I would like, Limp Bizkit again, absolutely best ever experience ever last year watching them, Lost Prophets, Paramore and Disturbed would be amazing

Rammstein
Slayer
Sylosis
Turisas

Who Disappointed?

Iron Maiden - What the frakk was up with that set-list.

Who would you want back for 2011 or 2012?

Evile, Turisas.

Any other comments about the lineup?

Slayer should be higher with more time, they have so much material and couldn't use all of it. Missed some classics like Disciple and Seasons in the Abyss.

Who do you want for 2011?

Testament
Suicide Silence
Megadeth
Devildriver
Down

Top five.
1. Pendulum.
They performed like headliners with an awesome sound mix that showed how good that system was and how crap Maiden's sound guy was in comparison!

2. Rammstein.
Great lighting and pyro.

3. Skindred.
Benji Webbe's audience banter is the Gold Standard.

4. Gary Numan.
The surprise of the festival for me. Wasn't expecting him to be that good.

5. The Cult.
They only make it into my top 5 because the band was absolutely smokin and they deserve some sympathy for having an otherwise great performance ruined by a drug-fucked Ian Astbury's sloppy vocals.

Most disappointing.
Iggy Pop.
To do none of your biggest hits is just plain fuckin' rude!

Skunk Anansie.
Skin's voice lacked the power she has on record. Maybe she had a cold or something...

Iron Maiden.
Awful, awful sound mix; the only band I needed my plugs for all weekend. I'm a sound engineer and the tell-tale sign of a deaf engineer is overdriven mids and tops. Whoever he was he needs to give it up cos his ears are clearly shot.

Don't care who's on next year...surprise me!

Turisas and Sabaton having a much longer set

2011

headliners

Friday - Judas Priest
Saturday - Saturn- Aerosmith, Apollo- Iron Maiden
Sunday - Saturn- Sonata Arctica Apollo Metallica

then in the day- lamb of god, disturbed, nightwish, overkill, primal fear, soilwork

Which bit was the question aimed at ?? I agree with the stage setup being a bit pants, can't remember going a gig being as close to the stage as we got and not being able to see the actually stage :(
The way they had those side raised walkways which hardly got used it blocked off the view of the stage. From anybody not directly in front.

Your Top Five of the Weekend?

Alice Cooper
Gary Numan
Slayer
Papa Roach
Placebo

Who Disappointed?

Motley crue - the music was great but Vince Neill was awful, didnt look like he wanted to be there and sung about hlaf of the words to Dr. Feelgood, after that i couldnt be bothered if he couldnt so left....

Iron Maiden - great performance but the set list was awful, expected a festival greatest hits but got a hardcore maiden fan show.... boring to say the least, left 20 mins before the end as couldnt stand it any longer....

Who would you want back for 2011 or 2012?

Gary Numan - exceeded all expectations! did a lot of the heavy new stuff and totally ripped it up, surpirse of the weekend by far.

Slayer - tore the place apart with a blistering set. quite why they were on so early i have no clue, should have been on before Iggy.

Any other comments about the lineup?

yes, try and make sure bands play their best of at soni! doubt thats possible though :(

Who do you want for 2011?

AC/DC on the sunday!
