This thread got boring when the complaints started getting absurd. Maybe if we derail it then Zac can have a rest from interrogation.

wow. that is a lot of touring.

i have never been to a festival in another country. (apart from the whole scotland to england thing but i don't think that counts the same). i have never been to download. is it any good?? i am thinking about going next year maybe.

:?

we don't need you to derail it. besides zac is getting a rest cause she is getting pestered by the black mat people.

Thanks Zac, that sounds positive and im sure it will really help having a disabled rep working with Soni.

On the whole ticket booking issue, it wasnt exactly hard to find the info for disabled tickets, if you went on to the ticket link at the top of the main Soni page there was a link for accessibility. I didnt even know that festivals catered in this way for disabled people until last year when Alice in Chains were announced and i went on the Soni website, i found the accessible info straight away so i really cant see how others didnt notice it. They had exactly the same link/booking process this year as in 2009. Its not Soni's fault if people dont book the right tickets.

Cant wait for next year, is it too early to ask when the first announcement will be?!! :music-rockon:

yeah, i am excited for the first announcement too.

i "know" that corey taylor will be there in some form (hoping for stone sour or slipknot) as corey said it himself at the end of his solo set this year.

:D

as long as soni have corey and a milkshake stall again, then my festival is complete. (i think i am easily pleased).

any ideas who you want for this year coming??

not everyone has access to the internet though, even in 2010. Which is a massive problem, so this just ring the number in the adverts, which no doubt causes these problems.

ah, good point.

i hadn't thought of that either. see, you guys think of stuff that i wouldn't think of at all. cause i didn't think of the food counters either.

might be an idea to have the number in the advert ask if you are looking for specialised tickets such as vip or disability??

that falls are insane. the first one looks like he actually fell off the stage!!

the second one is just really funny.

:D

yeah, like i have said so many times before. this is just suggestions. the more suggestions we make to soni, the more options they have when they go to the focus group meetings and the more chance that the festival will be enjoyable for everyone who goes.

Kazz, Slipknot would be awesome! i saw them years and years ago at Reading when i wasnt really in to them but i have loved the last few albums and i think my bf would wet his pants if they were announced!

Some of my fave performances at the last couple of Sonis were in Bohemia (Wildhearts in 09 and Therapy? in 10 both of which i was quiet surprised to see announced!) bands that i have loved for years playing in a pretty small tent! so im hoping Soni will have some more awesome bohemia headliners, i think Pixies would be amazing in there!

Would be a bit greedy of my to ask for AiC three years in a row but would also love them to get Korn, Queens of the Stone Age and, this may seem a bit random but i think Cypress Hill could go down well!
Then all they gotta do is resurrect Dimebag and bring me Pantera!

well... only if i get to go side-of-stage to watch him, then you can have my spot at the front.

;)

did you suggest the two-level system. i never saw that. sorry. here's me taking all the credit.

shall we have joint credit for the idea??

:)

joint credit works wonders hunni ;)

I did have a fab time time at soni.. few niggles.. came home on the monday knackerd had a bit of a rant on here.... slept .. re-read my rant then put down some of what i thought would be constructive criticism... emailed zac to let her know i did have a mint time regardless of a few kinks and will be back again. Really really hoping that my idea of split disabeld camping i.e family /party hard gets taken into account i felt sooo guilty at 4am whilst singing rather loudly in a rather drunken stooper  .

did you have a good time at Soni?

Alex did tell me where to find all the mongeese when i saw him but after and hour of searching and being offered free sex at 2am i kinda limped back to the disabeld section with my mate

Ooops, didnt think of that but when people phoned you'd think they would have asked about disabled tickets if they needed them?

jeez, neil would love pantera (fully resurrected of course).

;)

yeah, even if corey hadn't said he would see us next year, i would still be hoping for it so i will let you off with alice in chains.

:P

i have never seen slipknot as i got into stone sour first and then when their more melodic stuff came out, started listening to slipknot before truly embracing the "dark side" and getting into their more shouty songs. would love to see them live.

going to see stone sour at the end of october so hopefully i will love them live and then they will come to soni 2011 so that i can watch them again.

:D

aw, owly. you are going to have to find us next year. yeah, i had a great time as always. where there's music and milkshakes and people, i will always have fun. i'm just sad that other people didn't.

and milkshakes owly.

i have been very very good and spent a fortune on them last year so if you could get milkshakes, stone sour/slipknot and disturbed then you will have two very very good girls for the rest of the year.

Ressurect Dimebag and get Pantera?

That gives me 10 months to learn Voodoo and 1 month to collect the ingredients... according to the fabulous Monkey Island games I need.... Something from the head, something from the dead, something from the body and something of the thread, along with assorted magical ingredients and monosodium glutomate!

...off to check Ebay... you can get ANYTHING on there..... :music-rockon:

I've already got my pre-order in for the Cowboys from hell anniversary boxset. 3 cds - Remastered album, 11 demo tracks and 11 live tracks.

I bet when he got up to heaven, he asked that other well known long haired bearded bloke... "hey, what you doing in my seat?"

lol

yeah, i don't know much about pantera but neil let me listen to them whilst we were out and about driving and they sounded really good. so i think thats the best plan.

i hope you are not using wikipedia to learn about voodoo.

After reading some of the articles on there, i wouldn't use wikipedia to learn what colour the sky was :)

Check out Pantera - Cemetary gates, on youtube. One of my favourite songs off all time, and Dimebag makes that guitar sing!

you mean wikipedia sometimes isn't accurate.

the sky is green. everyone knows that.

i will certainly check that song out. right after i am finished watching the young ones. (maybe we should get madness for soni 2011).
