Sonisphere India

Postby MattOnBass » Mon May 02, 2011 8:53 am

Sonisphere's moving out of Europe for the first time, headlined by Metallica at Bangalore Palace Ground, Main Palace, Bangalore, on October 30.

"And for those of you who like to travel, you might want to keep watching this site . . ."

I wonder if we could see a string of Sonispheres in Asia in the Autumn?

I dunno if this is a good thing or not. On one hand, it takes focus away from UK and already existing sonispheres. On the other hand, it will attract a greater amount and more varied and interesting bands towards the sonisphere franchise(?) and maybe get these bands to play european sonispheres as well as these new ones.

I'd say more likely to be one of their own shows, Dubai or Indonesia.

Are there any official links yet for any of these dates?
2011 - 05 May Iron Maiden (Frankfurt, Germany), 18 June Roger Waters The Wall Live (Duesseldorf, Germany), 2 July - Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax (Gelsenkirchen, Germany), 8-9 July Sonisphere France (Amneville)

Other than the media outlets in India and band site, no. Must be more details to be sorted out.

Then again with various sonispheres this year in europe have taken a long time to sort out. The F1 race is now in december, so it's doubtful they'd keep the event at the same time, so either the band drop one show and take up other opportunities or try to reschedule both at another time is possible.

Worrying signs that there hasn't been any more news since the last update of more information in early june.

It's not a Sonisphere event now.

Yh it's Rock in India now, which makes it Machine Head, Iron Maiden, The Backstreet Boys and Metallica in four years. odd.
