Postby HarvesterofSorrow » Sun Jan 23, 2011 10:32 pm

Anybody on these forums going to Sonisphere France?

Probably not to many because it is the same weekend as the UK Sonisphere.

Yeah but I figured maybe some people might frequent these forums (like myself) because it is the only Sonisphere forum out there...;)

Hi.

When I bought my tickets for the French Sonisphere, I had trouble ordering the regular tickets. For some reason it did not work. I ended up buying the E Tickets. You just print the tickets from your computer.

Nope that is your ticket. At least that is how I understand it. That is the first time I have bought E-tickets though, so I am not 100% sure. I do believe though that that is your ticket and you do not need to go to a box office or anything like that. It has the bar code for scanning and the price and all on it.

Evergrey confirmed and the Running Order is on.
If you like to have it more comfortable try:

There are also new Campgrounds for 10 K People. They are free but 4 KM away (Shuttelbusses).

Let the Party begin :music-headbanger:

I didn't realise it was going on at the same time. A bit like Reading and Leeds with a bit of swapping?
My FMC is lonely. Please use it when buying your ticket- 1k959556

Looking forward to the festival.

The running order is great. There are no clashes whatsoever at all. I will be able to see everything I want to see. Much better like this with less bands, no clashes and not all the filler bands that you are not going to see anyhow.

A nice festival on a smaller scale.

2012 headliners rumoured to be Faith No More, Queen, and Slash, with Soulfly also on the bill.

I know the Slash/Queen thing was discussed on here before, dunno if the Faith No More bit is new.

Iron Maiden are also said to be playing in 2013.

He subbed to Judas Priest at High Voltage, so I guess if it's a smaller day.

Also worth noting that NONE of those bands are playing Download. They're all very possible for Soni UK.

Just checked Slash's tour history in France, he's headlined stadiums over there. He's almost certainly big enough for France, but considering on the same tour they played 5 slots down on Download their unlikely to headline Knebworth.

most people have seen it now but it's here anyway.

La Machine Radio were right with Soulfly and FNM, so Slash and Queen are pretty much to be confirmed.

As metalicbear found (I saw a last.fm event for it too), Soni Turkey was rumoured to have metallica and RHCP and was moved to the Soni UK weekend, so would make sense that France and Turkey would have RHCP I guess!

Begs the question as to whether that rumour was correct regarding RHCP and waiting for them to sell enough tickets for their own shows.

Seems to me that SoniFrance has just got its Saturday lineup so far, and Sunday's first bands will come next week, which should include RHCP and the Offspring.
