Isn't Gods of Metal in Rome too, and back next year? Must be the most spoilt city in Europe for heavy festivals.

I'd have expected it back in Milan too. Ambitious, but maybe it'll just be a one day affair. I can see Poland and Finland being two dayers, Switzerland, Norway and Italy as one.

No word on Spain or France, seems like both are AWOL in 2014. Unexpected.

I didn't expect Sonisphere France to appear this year anyway, what with the unbelievable Hellfest line-up.

Oh yeah it was always unlikely to go back to France unless they could get one band to do it this year that weren't part of the rest of the Soni run, and then bump up a UK sub for the other headliner.

So who is it tomorrow? Metallica? Maiden? Sabbath? ACDC? Someone out of left field?

Sonisphere Hamburg has already sold out. Not sure of the capacity of the venue it's at, but that's pretty quick.

Fair enough. I can't really be bothered to post three more versions of what is basically the same poster.

I'd drink my own piss if Slayer don't do Soni UK now, though.

I really don't want Slayer to play at Knebworth now! Going by what I've read about the shenanigans of Sonisphere 2011, that would put even kipper to shame!

I no longer have any idea what you're talking about and that's probably a good thing.

" The Team Sonisphere Productions and we are sorry to announce that the Festival will not take place in 2014. The decision to cancel the next edition was not easy to make, but the local situation that the festival is no longer welcome on the site of the town of Amneville and it is unfortunately impossible to find a place equivalent and satisfactory in the time required to allow the team to prepare a festival in good conditions for the public and groups. We work hard to revive the festival that has allowed us three years to share our passion with you Metal. That's why the team hope you faithful and gives you appointment in 2015! Meanwhile, we are preparing a series of "Sonisphere nights" in Paris and the provinces in June and July 2014. Stay tuned! 2014 reserve you still beautiful Metal concerts. "

Well, that's big.
