there's 12 bands on the spain lineup I'd say I'd really want to see. taking away the ones playing Download and Soni this year there's still 5.
At soni at the moment there's 7. yeah, you might be right, Clutch, Skindred, Bodom etc may be added later, but right now, I prefer Spain.

Fair enough - I've seen a lot of people saying it's better or whatever but I still don't agree, because basically it doesn't have FNM/Refused :P

Nah but seriously, there's some awesome bands on it, but they're all bands that will be over here or tour/play festivals here a lot, hence why I don't think it's that amazing - especially as it's pretty much complete now. I was thinking about going though, but I doubt I'll bother, as I can see The Offspring touring this summer here and as I said, rest will end up at Download or Sonisphere when they flesh out the undercard.

I should be going. Whatever day Gojira aren't playing is going to be really dull for me though.

Are people 100% postive their is camping? Because there isnt anything on the ticket options.

Here is the address for the person asking "Getafe Open Air is located on the street of Trust, 4, near the Cerro de los Angeles in Getafe"

Easyjet tickets look around £75 for return.
Upcoming:

June 5th - Skindred
July 8th - Faith No More

I emailed about the tourist offer last night but no reply yet. I would have thought there has to be camping. Cant see it being worth it for me if there isint. Its only a 2 day festival as well, with Nova Rock last year we had 3 full days.

Yeah i saw them easy jet flights as well around the same price. For me the coach dont seem worth it, £149 for a 2 day festival and the days arent even full days.

They usually e-mail everyone after the cut-off. I imagine everyone who applies in the first week or two like in the past will be alright.

If you look at the information on the madrid page, it says every ticket comes with camping.

What day would I book flights for? If the Fest is on Fri & Sat, would gates open Thurs, or Fri AM? And what day would we be able to camp until? Sunday, or Monday?

There's very little information available for this (in English at least) & it'd be nice to know what's what, so I can book travel to and from...

I was thinking the same. I presume we can camp there on the last night.

I dont think this year's offer is as good as last years. Nova Rock was a full 3 day festival and had some great bands on the line up.

This years line up is only 2 days and i thought i saw somewhere the stage opens at 4pm.

That's just the spanish way, siesta and all that. I don't know if it will go on later than in the UK, but it wouldn't surprise me. They don't do anything between about midday and 3. their football matches start at 9pm sometimes for example.

I'm still not sure. it's an awesome lineup, but the majority of bands are at Download/Soni, and I'm at both of those. plus I'm struggling to find truly cheap tickets, and I'm booking loads of time off work around then anyway...

Haha yeah i know they always have their footy on late, watch it when theres nothing else on.

Its a decent line up for sure but i cant see me spending money on flight tickets and then transfers from the airport to the festival just for 2 days of music. At least last year we had a better idea on what train and buses to get to the festival!

fair do's, I'm just saying that starting at 3 doesn't mean they get shorter days, they'll likely carry on until way later. I'm not sure, but I think Bennacassim carrys on until about 2am or something.

Yeah theres alot of bands to squeeze in if it just goes on from 4 - 11 or something. I expect it to go on abit later anyway.

You going then?

Like I said (a couple of posts earlier :P ) I'm thinking about it, but most of the bands are at Soni/Download, I can't find any really really cheap flights, and I'm booking time off around Download, Soni, there's a boardie meet the week before, so think my work might not be too pleased me booking off loads of days around that time.

Plus it's the same weekend as the Slam Dunk festival that I told a couple of friends I'd go to (including one that wants to come from out of town and crash at mine)
