According to my serbian friend they played Nancy Boy at Exit Festival last night so hopefully it will be a regular part of their festival shows this year :D

What sucks is all the songs I like of theirs seem to be 'maybes'. No pure morning or Special K might find me getting a good place for Maiden!

I like their other stuff but those songs actually stick in my brain. A LOT!

They're not the same day as maiden...

Pure Morning is pretty much definitely a no but Special K is pretty likely based on their recent setlists!

Just started to get into Placebo this year so don't really know what are 'likely' and what are 'maybe'. Favourite songs so far are Every You, Every Me and Song to Say Goodbye, anybody know if they would be on the list.

Does seem like few songs are what you would normally call regular.

Every you, every me is almost a dead-cert.
song to say goodbye is likely but will probably depend how long a set they get

Just a heads up to any Placebo fans that miss Steve Hewitt since his departure - his new band Love Amongst Ruin are playing the Red Bull stage on Sunday - 4pm I believe. More details on the band and links to free downloads are in the Love Amongst Ruin thread on here ;)

Placebo and Love Amongst Ruin both being at Sonisphere made my day!

Scared of Girls was Jizztastic.

About half the setlist is still in my head, and cause I feel like an idiot from the earlier post, I probably meant Rammstein. They were amazing! The inflatable balls were a cool idea too as they added to the fun! Would have really wanted to get tickets for the London gig if Sonisphere didn't tap me out :/

I was completely disappointed with them, granted I had high hopes I was really looking forward to them, they didn't do running up that hill which was bad enough but they messed with every you every me as well, totally gutted.

A band I really couldn't stand to begin with, went to see them though as a few mates wanted too. Ended up just being totally bored by their set and performance. I can have fun with bands I don't like if they aren't boring, but these were.

Yup really have to agree with you, not that I couldn't stand them but that they were boring. There was no stage presence or energy or charisma or anything, I mean I still have a huge crush on Brian but that isn't enough really.

Personally I think it was smart advertising, they didn't play Special K either which is another crowd favourite! They probably used that as a reason for you to go to their London gig. Found out recently they don't like playing Pure Morning but would've loved to see them do that too.

That broke my friends heart, she ept staving at the stage after saying 'they have to do it, they have to' bless her.

I don't think it was all that smart because off the back of that performance I wouldn't mind not seeing them again ever, for me they are a made for cd group

I thought the setlist was really good. Look at their Reading set last year, pretty much all new album stuff from what I recall. We got a decent mix, songs like Nancy Boy which hasn't been done in a while, and Scared of Girls too which hasn't been done in even longer! Ideally I would have liked to hear Running up that hill/Special K etc... but they only had an hour so they couldn't play everything, and it was too heavily focused on the new album (despite being a part of the BFTS tour) so it was awesome in my eyes :D

I think I am just overly critical of it because I was looking forward to them so much, I am sure they weren't as bad as my broken heart makes out :D
