He did? Well I know about him saying he wants to retire when 50...but that still leaves 3 odd years...and theres always the chance he might continue after 50...if the price is right.

didnt' listen to as much Rammstein as I would have liked before the festival, and was quite far back (waiting for my mate to come out of Gallows!) But from far back it was certainly very entertaining and.... well explosive really! Iron Maiden were still better :D

Maiden were better than Rammstein,

though I've seen 'Stein before and they lacked the wow-factor seeing them for a second time in such a short period of time.
plus all the people around me were complete Rammstein noobs, none of them knew any of the songs (didn't even know Pussy or Ich Will  ) .... so me and my mate were singing along like twats with everyone around us totally unaware of all the lyrics to all the songs :( ... or even recognising the intros to songs

Well done, you can sing in German

Well done, you can set stuff on fire

Well done, you can headline Sonisphere.

HOWEVER!!

You fail because you can't finish your set.

And you fail because you aren't actually that good

i believe it was the festival organisers screw-up that people thought they'd be playing the full two hours actually, so thats only one failure and it's all a matter of opinion really, im thoroughly a Rammstein disciple now after watching their incredible live show!

Yeah lots of people didn't know any songs around me, but I knew all of them so win 8-) everyone has to be a noob one ya know :P if you look at what people saidabout Maiden it was pretty much the same, lots of people not knowing songs but it is a festival and you are going to get people going who are interested in the band but may not know many, or even any, songs all the way through. I still think Rammstein were better woop! :music-rockon:

What mrkilley said, they finished their set, the organisers screwed up and put them down for a longer time than they had. Whether they're good or not is a matter of opinion, unless you're talking 'technically'. I know nothing about stuff like that but I've been told the music they make is pretty simplistic, but it still hits the spot for me :D

first part of thats going in my sig lol.

I was still impressed with them, but after seeing their set at Wembley I was not as impressed - nice to see the addition of stupid numbers of fireworks.

But I was more impressed with Maiden as it was first time of seeing, and for my position in the audience, I was surrounded by the biggest die-hard Maiden metalheads I've ever seen - so the atmosphere was far better than Rammstein's (for me and the vacinity I was located in).

Still, Rammstein are the second best band I've seen live (after Maiden) (third best live show I've seen, second was the Wembley show).

When the guitarist writes riffs i think he tends to make them as simple as possible to give Rammstein as "tight"n as sound as possible

I believe the fact of them doing a signing tent was to kind of make up for the time.

Oh Jesus, the amount of people I saw crying after they left, it's like seriously, you saw how long the queue was when you were queued up, it was ridiculous to even think you would get whatever signed, move on with your life now.

haha thats awesome :P

and yeah, I think the wembley show did have a little something on the Sonisphere performance.

I heard an interesting story that came from my dads mate's mate who worked backstage who said they were ready to go out and play engel but there was an arguement between the band and someone high up at Sonisphere. But I can't see how thats true seeing as as soon as they left the stage (2nd time) the roadies started clearing up.

I was queueing for Papa Roash when I saw it on the board. At first I was like :? Then I got closer, and it said Rammstein. I liyerally got jittery as anything. I said to myself I will come queue after Anthrax, but even then the line was frakking huge. IT made me sad, but I had to walk away :(

I was on a massive downer afterwards. I was thinking to myself, that was a once in a lifetime oppurtunity I just missed.

I didn't know about it until 2 days after the festival...I was stunned and gutted seeing as their last UK signing was in 2005

..did I mention stunned and gutted?
