Don't know why anyone would want to miss this unless they hate them that much. Its looks awesome, and so far the reason I'm willing to spend £160. Can't wait to hear the whole crowd singing along to Fear of the Dark.

I remember when they were mentioned in Teenage Dirtbag I asked my Dad who the hell Iron Maiden were and he said something along the lines of "an old, crap metal band who haven't been relevant in years."

He was completely correct.

nope. they're consistently strong across about a dozen albums. not much filler on any of them IMO, especially for a band who've been doing it for so long. Can't think of another who've done it so well for so long.

Live, they're even better. I've seen em 3 times I think, and they've been great every time.

This. I saw them on the AMOLAD tour - I will admit I was dissapointed they played the whole of the new album and less old stuff, but it is stil an amazing album nontheless.
My definite favourite album of the last decade or so would be Brave New World (wasn't this the first one with bruce after he left the band briefly?)

I didnt even own that album and still enjoyed the show. Yeah, I'd have enjoyed it more if I'd known more than about 5 songs they played at the end, but I reckon they couldn't play a bad show if they tried

Yeah, I knew like a couple of songs but generally not much of it - my dad bought the album :)
These Colours Don't Run, For the Greater Good of God and Different Worlds are some good tunes from it.

In my opinion, Maiden are the greatest band to ever roam this planet. The albums are flawless (except for the Blaze Bayley ones) and they play the greatest live show I have ever witnessed (and i've been to quite a ew gigs). And they're British too. If you only see one band at Sonispher 2010, see Iron Maiden (Of course you'll see more than that though, figure of speech). Albums I recommend: Live After Death or Number Of The Beast.

when I saw rammstein last, I felt like they'd put more effort into the stage show than the songs. was a great stage show I'll admit, but I saw megadeth later than week, and it was just as good, if not better.

Maiden know that the songs come first, and the show is to enhance them. I'm looking forward to Maiden more, even though I've seen them a few times, and this is only the second time I've seen Rammstein
