Feeder [Confirmed]

Postby WayneMadden » Sun Jul 18, 2010 9:40 am

Feeder have confirmed, via their website, that they will be performing at this year's Sonisphere. The gig will happen on the Saturday but there is no far no Indication of what stage or time they will be performing at.

http://www.feederweb.com/

I'm sure we'll hear more about the band's appearance as we get closer to the festival but I just taught I'd post here and try and rally up some late support.

If someone wants to move this into the confirmed section then that would be fantastic!

really? awesome. I've seen them twice, never used to like them that much until I saw them live at a fest, thought they were good. Everyone goes mental to buck rogers... predicted really, though

Won't happen at sonisphere though.
Renegades is their attempt to go back to their roots a bit, smaller gigs, new (and old) heavy material. no hits.

if they don't clash with anyone I want to see on the mainstage i'll be checking them out myself.

Yeah pretty much what everyone has said, "Renegades" set will be most, if not all, of the new Feeder album with maybe Sweet 16 & Lost & Found. You won't get Buck Rogers, Just A Day etc..

Aah, I see: my enthusiasm's not what it was about seeing them. Can't really be bothered getting into their new album, I never was a huge fan anyway. I'll listen to it, and if it doesn't blow me away, I think I'll give them a miss.

As people have said, Renegades is all about playing early stuff from albums like Swim and Polythene. I'm hoping for Sweet 16, WIT and maybe an outing for Can't Dance To Disco, myself. It's been years since I heard those live.

There is a news item on the main Sonisphere page where you can get a quid off the Renegades album..I noticed it says that they are playing 'Saturday night'. really hope they don't clash with Rammstein or Placebo. A Skunk Anansie clash would be brilliant please.

Interesting. Anything ruling them out from playing after Rammstein? (who I'm pretty sure won't have any clashes).
Failing that hoping for a GC clash myself but Skunk Anansie would be just as good!

Well last year 2 bands played late sets (or would have done, I think one dropped out?), so it could be Gallows + ?

I think theyl pretty much play the album, especially as there isnt actually a weak song on it. also, playing after rammstein, im going to have to leg it from rammstein to bohemia, and im not missing any rammstein! last year i hear thunder was really hard to get into, i wouldnt know though because i got there during dead by sunrise :)

I got into Thunder after Linkin Park ended, and bought a cup of tea on the way. Apparently they stopped letting people in not long after they started though, and it was absolutley rammed in the tent!

I think I'll give Rammstein a miss, I'll just go back after Motley Crue to wherever it is that Feeder...or Renegades....are performing and wait for their late set. To be honest, I can't see them being massively popular, it might be on at 00.30 but there's a lot of people buying day tickets or camping outside the site who couldn't be bothered and will just go home or back to their hotel. I'm hoping for a more intimate Renegades gig.

Just a world of warning if you are planning on using the shuttle bus back into Stevenage... I've just had it confirmed that the Shuttle buses will stop when the last train leaves from Stevenage -which is 1.30. That will mean the last bus leaving the site will be around 1.00- Renegades are playing until 1.20 Given that it's a good 10 - 15 minute walk back from bohemia to the shuttle bus pick up point, if you are planning on staying for their set, you may need to make alternative arrangements

Eh, I managed to get in ok and was near the front til the end of Linkin Park, so long as you don't piss about too much you'll be fine. :) Besides Therapy are on before Renegades, and I'm sure some people will give it a miss as it's only the new album not all their hits - and what deadwing said about the buses, lot of people will just leave. Car FTW!
