Yeah I think they're supposed to be touring the next 18 months or something.

thanks for that, so no chance of them playing sonisphere, especially as they're already playing the sonispheres in Europe, so very little chance of them being announced

It's still possible, but yes, it is unlikely.

I'm sure Corey said the tour is in November because they are in Japan in October

If it doesn't come to Cardiff I will punch Corey in the face. Seeing as I'm unlikely to meet him I shall have to use a poster

I want Hellyeah, 3 inches of blood, die apokalyptischen reiter, the plight, glamour of the kill and nonpoint.

Also finding it funny that As I Lay Dying were support for Job For A Cowboy, when not 3 days ago in Germany AILD headlined second stage and JFAC were the second band on

I bet Stone Sour won't come to Dublin.

American bands seem to forget about their Irish fans when they plan European tours. It sucks.

From the Stone Sour website
Stone Sour kicked off their European Festivals run at Download in Donington, UK earlier this month, and now we find Stone Sour/ Slipknot guitarist Jim Root checking in with Sonisphere at Knebworth.

Check out an excerpt of the feature below where the guitarist discusses what's in store in the immediate future for both his bands, and what to expect from Stone Sour at Sonisphere, and go right here to read the rest, including what the guitarist is currently listening to in his free time.

Not sure if I'm reading this completely wrong, but I've bolded the parts I find interesting / oddly worded. I imagine it's Euro's only, but it's the first part which caught my eye..

Jim could just be going to Sonisphere to watch his mate doing his solo stuff, but it is incredibly peculiar. Could we still get Stone Sour at Sonisphere Knebworth? I have no idea but it's an interesting one indeed.

More from that article....

How have you decided what kind of sets to play on this tour?
On Sonisphere, ‘cause it’s sort of a heavier bill, we’re basically just going to concentrate on some of the heavier songs. We don’t have a lot of time to play on this either so it’s not like we can do a full headline type set. We basically just trim the fat out of the set and keep the BPM’s kind of up you know. Basically just get in there and do a hard-hitting set and get out.

Surely that means tehy are playing? I hope so.

Maybe Corey's acoustic set is a smoke screen for Stone Sour? Hmmm...then again that's a big clash if it is.....

Could hvae last remaining Sunday slot, but then it would be rather pointless having Corey solo. You need to remember they are playing other Sonisphere's though, and they could be talking about them.

Corey has his own songs and cud end up covering Slipknot acoustic stuff like Circle and Snuff...plus a random cover *points at that Rolling Stones cover*
