They have been announced for both of those yesterday, so they are about. Still not holding out any hope for soni tho... that way if it ever resurges I will only be pleasantly surprised.

Deep Purple at Stone Free has got to be nailed on at this point.

Still Rammstein, Linkin Park, Blink 182, RHCP, Foo Fighters without a UK festival, rumours about BMTH supposedly headlining a UK festival. Metallica could still happen. There was also rumours a couple of months ago of Bon Jovi playing Euro fests. I'm sure Kili could ask Maiden to do a one off. Plenty of options should Sonisphere go ahead.

Potentially very bad news.

Rock Im Revier is cancelled.
Rock in Vienna has been cut back to 1 day.
Rockavaria is said to only be in the planning stage.
Sonisphere Swizterland/ Allmend Rocks has been cancelled as well (despite selling 70k tickets for 2016).

Not sure how DEAG's events will affect Kili's plans, but it can't be good.

GnR presale...
£84 upper tier seats - none left
£94 standing/unreserved seats - none left
£138 lower tier seats - available!

Think I'll be giving it a miss but general sale is tomorrow so there will probably be a few if people get in early.
Depends on the support bands but I suppose it would cost about the same as a day out at Download (for the cheaper tickets).

I think it's gonna be another year where we hear absolutely nothing. No explanations or anything. Just a no go. I hope to god I'm wrong. But you would've thought that I anything was in the works, they would've announced something by now.
More focussed on stone free I guess

There are so many bands around in the summer, I wonder if Kili even bothered working on the event or if they just thought frakk it we will concentrate on Stone Free, which flopped massively last year.

Makes no sense whatsoever.

I still stand by what I said before that Kili should create a new festival aiming at around 20-40k people, new venue, give it the Sonisphere presents tag. Make sure it runs every year.

I think the same. He said we love making something out of a random comment but if the last we heard was 2015 wasn't on but they were working on the next year, and then 2016 there is no official statement or anything then of course we are going to pick up on anything they say. Until they say, we are never doing sonisphere in the U.K. Again, then we will keep hope. But saying nothing at all and hoping people don't question it if isn't good.

How about 10 Years Of Sonisphere in 2019?
Well it would only be 4 years of actual events in total but they could market it as such and then cancel it.
