Seems like there's been an attack on the European sites, as it comes up with a red malware hacker warning...
Sonisphere is the most magical time of the year! There will be beer, excellent sounds, and happiness all round :music-deathmetal: Share the magic! 1k912130

BOA and HRH United for me this year, no summer festivals that I could feasibly go to interest me that much.

Reading Fest: only 2 bands that I casually like (RHCP and TDCC) the rest you would have to pay me to watch. I can understand why Reading has the reputation it does, I'd have to drunk and stoned out my head to endure that line up.

Ramblin' Man: Actually rather tempting, but the cost of the ticket vs line up plus the camping issues make this a slim possibility

Download: Quite a few great bands surrounded by rubbish, not worth ticket price at the moment and the line up doesn't compensate for the lay out by a mile.

Hevy: Only Refused tempt me

Techfest: Good line up but don't think I could stand a whole weekend of tech metal.

Best year for Soni to make a comeback, shame they haven't taken that chance (for whatever reason)

I thought Kili were bringing Wakestock back this year too. There's literally been nothing mentioned about that for about a year either.

That's the most action that page has seen for a while. Nice to see it now matches the sonisphere.com page background.
Hoping for good news.

The Knebworth Novotel has crazy room prices for the first weekend in August. There is nothing else on at the house at that date.....

Most hotels have crazy prices around that date

The holding page was because the site(s) were hacked so they removed all the offending scripts.

Just been reading a site -http://www.finanznachrichten.de/nachrichten-2016-02/36357670-dgap-adhoc-deag-deutsche-entertainment-aktiengesellschaft-erwartet-2016-ebit-von-mindestens-3-5-mio-euro-deutsch-016.htm

To summarise -

It says DEAG lost quite a lot of money last year, but this year is looking a lot more promising.

Sonisphere Switzerland has near enough sold out already.

Rock in Vienna's sales figures are up by 60% compared to last year.

Rockavaria is selling about the same as last year.

Rock im Revier is struggling.

Just had a look, it's more expensive in July than it is in August.

To be fair, I'm going to have to stick up for metalicbear on this occasion, (now that he's posted a link to his source).

Ticket sales ARE quoted in the article and the article cites information sourced directly from DEAG.

The only bit that Mr Bear appears to have misread is around Rock im Revier. It doesn't say the festival is in difficulties. Where it refers to there being difficulties, it's talking about analysing/comparing sales figures. Essentially, "for the festival in the Nord-Rhein Westfalen (Rock Im Revier), there are difficulties in analysing and comparing year-on-year sales due to the fact that the festival has moved to a different (bigger) venue".

Anyone have any idea why download are making such a big deal of this next announcement?

Also - what are the camping issues with Ramblin Man? I know its a separate area (and it really bumps up the price) but what problems did they have last year?

Last year Ramblin Man only did glamping on top of the ticket price (not inclusive) for £200 and this year there is a general camping ticket but it's off site, so you would need to catch a shuttle bus everyday to the campsite.

For some reason won't let me quote but Manda, I wouldn't read into it too much, every festival hypes up their announcements so I wouldn't expect anything beyond the ordinary for the DL announcement
