Sonisphere 2016

Postby IronBoosh » Wed Apr 29, 2015 1:05 pm

Hey guys and gals!

As the forums are back up at last, I was just wondering if we think Sonisphere will be back 2016 and who people want to see headline? What would they like to see added/changed from 2014?

Cheers

It is really missed this summer! :(

My hopes are lifted a bit by the return of the forum, makes me think they've not given up on it like some think.

I did think that was it when the forums disappeared, so very relieved they're back! :bow-yellow:

And to the main question, wonder whether Black Sabbath might do their farewell gig at Soni now that's been shifted from Japan to next year and a new album is on the way. New album from Maiden as well.
Sonisphere is the most magical time of the year! There will be beer, excellent sounds, and happiness all round :music-deathmetal: Share the magic! 1k912130

Black Sabbath makes a lot of sense - not sure if Bruce will be back in action in time for Soni 2016, but it would be a pretty good start to the headliners if both Maiden & Sabbath played!

Personally would love to see a fuller programme of events on the Friday - just me being greedy tbh!

Absolutely! Absolutely refuse to give my money to Copping - complete tool - so Sonisphere was my big summer blow out! So major bummer not having that to look forward to!

Oh well have to make do with individual gigs and HRH in November!

That sounds like a fab plan. Each take a tent. Between us take a bbq food and drink and I'm sure they'd let us use their toilets lol

Theres been a rumour for a few months now that Sabbath's final farewell gigs will be at Download and possibly an arena show or 2.

I tkink Sonisphere will probably go for Maiden again, depending on how Bruce is feeling.

I heard a rumour a while ago that Green Day were in talks to headline the whole Sonisphere/DEAG tour.

Wherever in the UK I am not missing it - big hopes for Soni that would be perfect but if DL then ok.

It's been six years since my first Soni experience.
SIX YEARS!
Has it really been than long?
Please Soni organisers, don't wait too long to arrange another festival at Knebworth. I only have so many good years left in me.
