Hopefully the delay means they are spending time mixing the sound properly

Do we know which bands will & won't feature? I don't expect Maiden to be on there as they weren't on it last time they played Soni, and I heard they had refused to be recorded, though I don't know if thats true or not..

Depends if soni/sky are willing to pay however much Maiden demand for the rights for it to be shown.

I've managed to get the idea from somewhere that Maiden always refuse, something to do with them releasing live DVD's e.c.t.

That's what I've thought, but they were in the highlights show at Download last year and they were streamed live at Rock am Ring this year, so it may just be Sonisphere

Three evenings of highlights from the 2014 festival at Knebwoth sees Metallica, Iron Maiden, Deftones, Gary Numan, HIM, Alice in Chains, The Dropkick Murphys and Anthrax perform hits to 50,000 metal fans.

Iron Maiden kick starts the first of three shows from the Apollo Stage, with crowd-pleasing performances of Aces High and The Trooper before Gary Numan takes to the stage with Cars.

Following songs from Alice in Chains, Dream Theater and Airbourne, Metallica, whose Sonisphere set was chosen by a fan vote, round off the show with some riotous performances.

Here they treat us to a blast of Seek And Destroy...

So Maiden and tallica will be in it.

Friday (9pm - 10.30pm) Highlights from the 2014 festival at Knebworth House. With music from Metallica, Iron Maiden, Alice in Chains, Gary Numan, Dream Theater and Airbourne. (1 of 3)

Saturday (9pm - 10.30pm) Iron Maiden, Metallica, HIM, Deftones, Airbourne, Frank Turner, Dropkick Murphys and Dream Theater take to the stage in highlights from the rock festival at Knebworth House. (2 of 3)

Sunday (9pm - 10.30pm) Highlights from the head-banging rock festival at Knebworth House. With music from Anthrax, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Mastodon, Alice in Chains and Dropkick Murphys. (3 of 3)

Full listing. Decent mix and selection there, and with 3 shows should get about 4 or so hours of footage.

Or Bizkit, or are these just like an overview of what's in the episodes. Best had be because Slayer, Bizkit, Prodigy and Gojira were the best there, would be a shame if they aren't shown.

Not too sure to be honest - I'd imagine there'd be more in each cause it's 1.5 hour shows, so you'd assume they'd show more than 6 bands unless they plan to show a lot of Maiden/Metallica besides just a couple of songs from each over each show...though I'd also imagine they'd mention The Prodigy if they were gonna be a part of it? I'd imagine Gojira wouldn't tbf, being on so early, and probably not so much TV friendly :P

I didn't watch Limp Bizkit but I am certain that this is not true.

It's not true, they were distinctly average.

I meant more in terms of crowd interaction, those and Ghost stood out for me ( singing to monstrance clock). I think the crowd for Bizkit would translate well to the screen

It would be great to see the group hug from Devin's set.

Well it look slike I won't be on TV if they don't show Bizkit or Slayer. FFS.

I joke, although it may not come off well given that this place has gone all echo echo echo..... again.

Good to see Frank Turner and Dropkick Murphys there; I'm not so fussed about the rest but I'll watch it all anyway :)
