I went to the shops earlier today for football boots, came out with a new double air bed and battery powered pump. Huzzah for unexpected purchases!

I'll probably do my usual, which is go to wilkos and get a dirt cheap duvet/pillow for the weekend which I bin at the end of the festival. Much, much relaxing than a sleeping bag.
Stoppin and stayin, I would if I could

Actually still missing the flashing bits. We're "in discussion" with everyone who all want different stuff. It will be fine though. There will be a disco of some sort!

Went to Bookers the other day to stock up

Mostly alcohol
2 x Slabs Fosters
1 x Slab Red Stripe
1 x Slab Oranjeboom
Bottle of rum
Bottle of Jager

Also bought 6 tins of mac and cheese, 8 pot noodles, and a 24-pack of energy bars.
Gotta eat right!

Neither me or the guy Im going with has a tent yet though, should probably do that.

I feel like I'm forgetting something or I need to bring more gooseberry. I keep thinking of stuff I need, rarely come up with something necessary.

Do you have the following:

A ticket
Tent
Sleeping bag
A locker
Clothes
Lots of socks
Wellies
Suncream
Sunglasses
Waterproofs (i.e. a rainjacket at the minimum)
Packets of tissues (you never know what the portaloos will be like)
Hand sanitiser
Something thermal to wear at night (it gets cold).
A camera
Something to charge your phone with.

If you don't, sort it out. I know you will need to buy alcohol when you get there (you're coming from abroad right? I have avatars and sigs turned off so I can't remember 100%) but other than booze and snacks, if you have anything else on top of the above, it's a luxury.

Good simple list there. Yeah Im visiting from the US with 2 friends, 1 guy is camping, me and the other guy are staying in a hotel. But Im sure ill spend a bunch of time hanging out at the camp site with my friends and boardies. :)

I'm just being paranoid. I don't want to get there and realize I forgot something, like sunglasses.

The festival vendors sell all kinds of stuff such as hats, clothes, sunglasses etc so I wouldn't worry too much about forgetting things. Also, Stevenage town centre is about 2 miles away and has everything you could possibly need....well almost!

I've ordered my portable phone charger, as you can't swap out the battery in a twatPhone.

I feel a bit underprepared this year. Normally I've been buying festival gear since about February, but that just hasn't happened this time out. I suppose there's a point at which you have everything you need, but it feels wrong not to have stuff arriving every few weeks. Looks like it might be worth investing in some suncream this year, seeing as summer 2012 appears to have arrived a few years late.

Just ordered my pay-as-you-go SIM for a spare phone....

Think all I've got left to get is Tequila and Cigars - and I'll get them on 3rd July.

If you dont have a portable bush, it could be an option.

No personal experience of them tho...

Final piece of the jigsaw..

A battery powered air bed pump.

Right. I am all set. I think.

looking at the long range forecast I think some waterproofs may be in order!

Also need to do a booze run on the Weds evening! I started saving my plastic bottles for decanting of alcoholic refreshment!

I think I may invest in one of the phone chargers - I ordered a locker - but I too have an iPhone and they are pretty useless on battery life
