I reckon that they will announce 14 bands that everybody agrees are a great mix of unpredictable rareities and dependable crowdpleasers, and which unquestionably provides solid value for money.

Posted this in the rumour roundup thread but I might as well post it here as well

Turisas, Exhumed, Kerrang tour, A Day to Remember, Rise to Remain, Taking Back Sunday, Discharge, Me First and the Gimmie Gimmie's, Black Stone Cherry and The President's of the United States all have UK tour's that have either finished or near finishing by next week. Some of those bands could be involved in the announcement.

Twisted Sister have also said they have an announcement coming soon

black stone cherry are a good shout their southern hospitality tour is on next week , single is out next week, . rise to remain TBS and ADTR would be solid for me i still think we may get staind , and some of the bands that are on the circuit in the states with bands like seether, alter bridge and skindred who are at download

Jamie Lenman has been getting announced for a fair few festivals recently, as have Hawk Eyes, Hacktivist and Turbowolf. Possibilities there. Scholars are a local band, could be possible too I guess.

Pixies can't be counted out yet, depends on any exclusivity deal with Field Day though.

I think ADTR, Black Stone Cherry, Sylosis, MH and Billy Talent. Would wish for somebody like Shinedown but highly unlikely as they'd have been here twice in 6 months already :(

I think ADTR, Future of the Left, Nails and nofx could happen. The Black Keys and The Pixies are around at the same time, would love them to fill a saturn headline, with a curveball like Wu Tang Clan or Cypress Hill somewhere too.

Surely there's not a high enough spot left for Pixies? :?

Turisas have become my festival band, so would be frakking happy with them.
Black Stone Cherry would be brilliant for me also.

Nah the crowd for Billy Talent is actually quite lively. We need a band where everyone will stand still doing nothing for the whole set, then have to find a portaloo and give themselves a hand party over how spectacular it was.

Its the only way the announcement will be well received..

Something like that. Though I'm guessing there's no more suitable spots left for them..

True. Maybe Pelican? With Ghost, Frank Turner and Deftones confirmed we're off to a good start with boring acts that'll go down well. I expect good things from this announcement.

And they've probably played Soni Knebworth 17 times by now so it shouldn't be hard to get them again.
