If there's not another announcement by next Monday then I'm assuming that the festival has been cancelled again.

Almost certainly, we all know how long any variation of "soon" actually is.

They opened Apollo as someone pulled out last minute, so they were still seen as a Bohemia band. Personally I think they should headline or be near top Bohemia bill, they didn't work at all on the second stage at Download.

not sure they 'filled in' to open apollo they were scheduled to open the stage according to programme i have but yeah would be far better in bohemia were ok at download but far better when i saw them in Manchester last year

they definitely weren't bumped up on the day , might have been moved before the festival from their original position

I swear they were originally booked the play Bohemia but got bumped up to mainstage during the last announcement as someone pulled out. Can't for the life of me remember who they replaced

Nah I'm sure it was just their placement on one of the earlier posters which had all the bands in a list and not broken up by stage had them on the same line as some bohemia acts so people assumed they were bohemia, but when stage splits were announced they were always mainstage.

I'm sure that was the case anyways, I think I've still got copies of a few of the different stages of the 2010 line up in posters in a cupboard somewhere, might dig them out to double check I'm correct laters!

The only band dropout I remember from 2010 was Municipal Waste, who were meant to be Bohemia anyways. Madina Lake almost dropped out too due to their bassist (I think?) getting attacked, but they played without him in the end.

Karnivool only just played the Koko on their most recent tour, I admit to not knowing much about the band but if they've only just played a 1000 person venue then surely they were smaller 4 years and not a mainstage band?

cant have been on the day because they're apollo on the Tshirts etc so its not like FACT in 09 they were bumped up before the festival.

My mistake! Kili do all their tours afaik since their first and soni was their first uk fest too iirc so guess they wanted to promote them hence mainstage, which is fair enough same reason sabaton, sylosis, architects and the ever popular family force 5 ended up mainstage I guess!

2010 was so good. I'd totally go again if the exact same lineup was announced.

like i said i go off where they play in Manchester and gauge the size of a band by that (i know ticket prices and all that) i think they are top end of bohemia , low main. anyway happy they have been booked and will be watching them :D

I'd rather have 3oh!3

Hoping we also get some female fronted bands this year. Maybe some Halestorm, Anavae, or Pretty Reckless
