Machine Head's new album

Postby PurpleDemon » Fri Nov 21, 2014 12:26 pm

It came out earlier this month, I imagine most of you have heard it by now, so thoughts?

Personally I like it. Nothing on the Blackening of course, but a whole lot better than Unto the Locust. Definitely the best all-round album they've put out in a while.

Give them a Saturn stage headliner slot, I say. Got to be a better fit for the role than Slayer.

Sonisphere UK 2013 is confirmed: [WELP.]
Headliner announcements made: [NOPE.]
Alter Bridge booked: [NADA.]
Arcane Roots booked: [NEVER.]
Outkast booked: [HAHA, NO.]

I am currently listening to "In Comes the Flood" in my office, I like the album and cannot wait to see them next month. The only track I dislike is "Imaginal Cells" and thats because I have never liked news report tracks.

Machine head should def be nudged up to Saturn Headliner / Main Subs imo, but people will bitch as all the cool kids gotta hate.

As an aside I think my favourite track so far is "Game Over" Its not particularly amazing in any regard, but full volume on country roads it does encourage complete an utter reckless abandon

The Great Debate is one of Dream Theater's best songs and I shall hear no argument on that.
