What gigs have you got lined up?

Postby CherryInHove » Thu Sep 25, 2014 9:44 am

So, we're all waiting impatiently for Sonisphere to announce that they have reanimated John Lennon and the beatles will be playing Bohemia or something but before that happens, we need other music stuff to look forward to.

So, what gigs have you got lined up in the coming 10 months or so?

So far, I have tickets for:

Alestorm - 22nd October
Carter USM - 22nd November (Ridiculously excited about this one).
Meshuggah - 20th December.

What are YOU seeing?

Incredibly, my list is almost identical to that, except that I'm also going to see Patent Pending on the 8th October. at the Oxford Academy. I wasn't going to bother, but it's slap bang in the middle of my week off, so seems daft to miss it.

Gonna be seeing Kunt and the Gang at Fab Cafe in Manchester (everyone should go see him!) in a few weeks, and Mastodon in November in Manchester. Think that's it other than my own band's gigs. Quite a quiet few months on the cards as it stands.

They were both frakking fantastic in Oxford. I'd never heard Suburban Legends before, but they were worth the ticket price alone.

Also got At The Gates lined up for December. Debating going to The Subways in November. Never heard anything by them, but Max Factor supporting makes it very tempting.

Just Breed 77 in November. They're a real blast from the past; I don't really like them all that much, but I went to see them in 2009 and, at the time, it was the most fun I'd had at a gig. Gutted that I might not be able to make The Gaslight Anthem in Manchester next month, but ah well.

I'm not of a fan, but their skin looks flawless.

D'oh! That was the second time that day I made that mistake. I don't know why Max Factor is at the forefront of my mind to that degree.

Be prepared to be blown away by Baby Godzilla! Gutted I can't get off work to do the London date.

Got lined up:
Turbonegro - House of Vans
ADTR - Brighton
Linkin Park - Manchester (Maybe the London dates too if I can be arsed to spend the money)
Behemoth - London
Baby Godzilla - A date or two of the December headline tour
Enter Shikari - Cambridge, both London, Manchester, Norwich, and maybe Amsterdam
Slipknot - London, Birmingham

I normally have frakking loads for November, but generally can't be arsed this year.

Probably the band I'm most looking forward to, just because I've heard so much about their live show and I've seen some videos. Can't wait.

I've just discovered that Amon Amarth are playing round the corner from my house in january. FUCKIN YES!!! Not going to miss this opportunity to watch them spend 15 minutes trying to get the eyes to light up on their dragon ship.

After seeing Baby Godzilla last night, I will definitely be seeing them again in Huddersfield in November with Zoax. Crazy scenes. Feed the Rhino were ace too. Great gig.

I'm off to Slipknot/Korn and Steel Panther/ Skindread, both in Manchester.

I'm also tempted by Gogol Bordello and Amon Amarth. I'll wait and see if I can be arsed.
Is it just me, or does everything taste better with cheese?
