Thanks! :)

With their diabolical set time (seriously 35 minutes???!!!) I can see them playing the 8 songs they usually play at festivals but even then this will over run but only for about 3 mins or so...so I'm holding out for at least 8 songs or I will be annoyed.

Their set was brilliant!! the only band apart from metallica that didn't disappoint me one bit. Although it was very short so i had to make the most of it, so if it was up to me, i would have swapped the czar for divinations and colony of birchmen.

personally for me, they were the best band for the weekend and i'm quite glad that i got to be right behind the barricades and thanks to them i've lost my voice
all the people from the backstage were their to see them perform which was pretty awesome :D

two poor A7x fans(girls) infront of me had to indure my craziness and my singing for the whole set :? if you're reading this i'm sorry for going berserk.

4pm but they came at 4.20 pm.
Haha Troy pointed at me and grinned because I was going stir crazy and singing along (I was on Bills' side, at the front and was the only one moving!)

Brann is a great guy. He said I was awesome   , spoke to me for a while and while I was queing everyone seemed to be talking to the other 3 and not so much to Brann. So he was just sitting there looking a bit lonely at the start so I smiled at him and he smiled back :) It was cool he spotted me.

I couldn't be bothered to go to the signing tent because i would rather watch bands. But at Islington in june, hours before the gig, i walked past bill in the street but i only twigged it was him after he had gone past so i felt like a bit of a rat-a-tat-tat for not realizing straight away and saying hi.

yeah, i think i saw that :D i was right infront of troy and since i was going crazy he kept staring at me with a menacing look (made me bit nervous and had to look other way  ).
from what i see, all the guys from mastodon looks quite friendly and funny. really gutted that i missed their meet and greet. :(

Oh yeah...that's what I love about Troy. If he sees a fan he'll concentrate on them for a while. He did it twice to me and gave me a grin. Brann gave me eye contact in Oblivion...a very special moment...I really like that song. But hey, I was enjoying myself and it just made it extra special that they noticed.
My favourite band of the day...I love Metallica too but I've seen them 5 times (and still get better!) but I just couldn't wait to see Mastodon!
I wonder if anyone saw my Mastodon Blood Mountain Vans...I know some people were staring haha!

for me, they were easily the best band for the whole weekend (they were the reason i got my Sonisphere ticket).

metallica's ofcourse in a whole different level when it comes to live performance and probably one of the best. i take my hats off to Heaven & Hell, linkin park, anthrax, limp bizkt & A7X for putting a good show and making my weekend even better.

sadly, i didn't get to see your BMVans, probably too busy trying to get mastodons attention

anyway, i was the one with the grey skull/knife mastodon tshirt on, right at the centre of the stage behind the barriers.

 I don't think anyone saw them in the pit. People just looked when I was walking around and waiting to meet them. Don't think I saw you but I saw some people with Mastodon t-shirts around which was cool.
Oh and when you shouted "Brann"...his wave sounds funny.
I shouted BILL before Czar! I got over-excited and couldn't control myself!

I was side stage for them, could see Brann humping the drums in all it's glory. they were flawless. They best be back next year with a much longer set.

^^ (in reference to knowing it was me) and well on the Sonisphere news I don't know if Bill said it in reference to the UK, but they said they'll be back...I'll try and find it in a moment.
Anyone been on the Crack the Skye website with all the videos and stuff? I thought that was pretty cool but most of it's on the DVD.

Edit: “Yes, we’ll come back. Don’t worry we’ll be definitely seeing y’all next year. Now, where’s my beer?”
Bill Kehiller, Mastodon

They can't spell his last name! It's Kelliher!

I hope that's in reference to the UK...I couldn't catch them in June due to exams.
