Water bottles allowed into the arena?

Postby thor » Sat Jul 10, 2010 2:28 pm

Does anyone know if you are allowed to take water bottles into the arena from the campsites? I know at Download in the past they only let you take in smaller bottles, everything else is confiscated?? Just wondering if it is the same here?

Thanks

i strolled in quite happily with a 2litre bottle of water last year - didn't have any issues with stewards :)

they may check if it is actually water (sniff it, make sure not vodka etc.) but otherwise, I can say I had no problems, nor did anyone else I know who took large amounts of water in with them.

Best to take in a small (500ml) bottle which you can then refill at the water points. The strictness of the rules being applied will alter depending on how things are going generally but you will be safe with a little bottle.

Yeah its best to take small bottles in. I came for the sunday last year and me and my dad got our bottles of water taken off us the thing is they weren't that big but i think they were just past the limit :/

My regular bottle is 1 litre, but its a proper water bottle (think a cycling bottle) with a carry case, never been questioned about it at any festival (once I prove its empty) cos there's no way in Heck I'm lobbing it about.

hmmm, i have a medical problem at the minute that means I am drinking 5+ litres of water every day ... Ive got a Sig bottle (300ml-ish) that I get into Download every year... I hope I now don't need a letter for my water bottle as Ive already had to have one because my meds have to be kept in a glass bottle

HI, I'm going with my pregnant girlfriend and would like to know if you're allowed to take a camelbak into the arena area?
