Whose bringing what alcohol ( because i'm nebby like that)

Postby owl79 » Sat Jun 26, 2010 10:24 am

Having checked the boards i cannot find this topic anywhere ( phew ). So what i'm enquiring is whose bringing what?
Whose just buying theirs @ soni? Whose just gonna wait and use the nearby tesco? Whats your drink of choice and finally what about a good ole swap shop for example i have a bottle of Brugal ( Dominican Rum) unopened, this stuff is leathal , i and my party have no interest in drinking what-so-ever as we're not into the ole rum so if someone at soni wants it i'm willing to swap a couple of drinks for it. ;) :text-givemebeer:

I should add that bottle as it stands ( well its says is 350 c.c) will be transferred into a placcy bottle then sealed with selotape and is 37.5% also have a bottle of wychwood Circlemaster golden pale ale (500ml , 4.7%)

I'm filling up on German alcohol before I leave, 1 litre cans of Fax at 10%? Bottles of Jaeger for £7? I can just tell I'll have trouble at customs...

A bottle of Jager, a crate or two of decent beers, quite a few different ales (Hob Goblin, Old Speckled Hen and Directors will definatly be in there), and maybe a bit of cider (by wich i mean good cider, not shitty strongbow). Getting it all the weekend before sonisphere and driving down with it. Get there around 6 on thurday, Set up camp and crack open the beers and not stop until Turisas the next day...

That's about it so far..

Problem is that I can't exactly fly in with this gooseberry,so I have to go to Tesco in Stevenage, I might need help carrying all this gooseberry back with me  .I dunno, are people doing runs up to Tesco at all?Either way I'll figure out something.

I will be buying eveything in Stevenage I'm afraid cause there is no way I am carrying it on my bike.
However I do have an awesome plan: my camel pack (thing that hold water on your back and is pressurised so you can drink while you cycle) will be getting filled with Jager once i'm at Soni which mean I can drink as I go ;D
Other than that just cider and probs some captain jacks and absynthe if i get a hold of some.

Might emulate last year and bring Pimms, Rum and Brandy, a litre each. May have to go to tesco for some beers when I've had enough of spirits though.

I'm bringing Sailor Jerrys and perhaps some pear cider, along with copious amounts of coke to drink my rum with. So nice to have access to a car to carry all this gooseberry in this year :D

To keep spirits cool, stick in the fridge/freezer. Next to it, stick in a thermos flask, full of ice.

Empty the flask of ice and then fill the flask with the chilled booze just before you leave.

Kept my Jaegermeister nice and chilly for a whole weekend.

Asda have an awesome deal on crates of beer, lager and cider. 2 crates of 15 cans for £15 or 3 for £20. So I reckon (as soon as I get my new bank card) I'll stock up on those.

How long's that lasting? I may take advantage of that for general summer consumption too :D

I'm taking Jagermeister, a bottle of Captain Morgan's (to be mixed with two 2litre bottles of coke) and probably some strong lagers, maybe buy some other stuff when/if I run out. Should be a good weekend.
