Yeah we all tend to have a mass meet up in camp on the Thursday. The main camps are usually close together so its fairly easy to find everyone. That, camp flags and boardie tshirts!!

I am hoping someone can help me with the beer situation on the campsite. I have been through the terms and conditions and get the no glass bit. But can I take cans into the campsite, just bought a big keg from the lovely Lidl and was planning on taking that for the campsite. Any help would be appreciated.

I also imagine that they will have 2 or 3 little tents scattered about selling Trooper similar to DL, and Trooper is pretty damn tasty.

Also if they are giving away free cups again then you can collect loads of BBQ stuff over the weekend

I'm sure I read somewhere that Sonisphere will be stocking 'Trooper'., which is excellent news. Hobgoblin is OK, but only OK (King Goblin is better). I'm not interested in lager these days in all honesty which makes festivals a bit of a nightmare

surely a keg would need time to settle after transport which would make taking one pretty pointless? I have never worked in a pub so I don't know but my friend owns one and she often tells us such crap

Depends on the keg. Most modern kegs are filled from a vat after maturity so dont contain sediment. These are the metal ones you see getting thrown of the back of the dray then kicked down to the cellar. If you dont mind a beer shower, these can be connected and used straight away.
Tap and spile kegs are an art and a science. These are the ones your friend is refering too, and usualy contain real ale.
Am guessing its a mini keg the chap above is bringing, self contained gas and dispenser. Allow an hour min to settle or drink foam for a while.

I loves beer....

pffft you uneducated fool even if you did know a frack load more about beer than me... cider is the drink of choice in elite circles, it is only surpassed by the wonders of dark rum!
