Cheap alcohol deals

Postby AbsintheChris » Wed May 25, 2011 1:38 pm

Now we're reaching the point where thoughts turn to how many gallons of ale we'll be taking with us, hows about we start sharing our finds?

I'll open with Lidl currently doing 5-litre kegs of Wheat Beer or Pils for £10.99 (approx £1.20 a pint). I took some kegs with me last year, got a few funny looks from security but they went down a storm. They also have a selection of plastic glasses, etc.

The Asda near where I live has had crates of carling & carlsberg on offer for £10 for 24 pint cans. Might be worth a stab for myself me thinks.

From what someone said on a different forum, sainsburys have 3 x 15 cans of Carling for £24. That's how i interpreted her post anyway so might not be entirely accurate! Whatever it is it works out at 50p a can.
And in morrisons... any 2 for £14 on 12 pack tetleys, 12 Carlsberg, 8 brothers strawberry, 12 Carling, 12 fosters, 12 john smiths extra smooth and 12 strongbow. All cans.
