Because he whines when he doesn't have a good car.
He won 6 races at the start with a superiorly faster car and then everyone caught up and he just switched off and seemed like he couldn't be bothered.
He's a good racing driver but at the end of the day he isn't really a driver of world championship quality. At the end of the day if Vettel wasn't so young and inexperienced he wouldn't of made so many costly stupid mistakes, he would of won the championship easily.
And if the other teams knew that the diffuser they were using was legal at the start, he wouldn't be anywhere near winning it.

I say, give him his dues..hes been in formula 1 for ten years and he has had good cars and has shown that he can win races and im glad that he won the world championship. Every driver dreams of it but not everyone gets anywhere near it, Rubens has been unlucky in that he has come close a few times and has had a much longer career than Button and will prob go down as one of the good ones that never won a championship but prob should have. Theres no guarantee that Button will win it next year so let him have his day, be thankful that another Briton has won it cos lets b honest, the way Hamiltons car performed this year i dont think we'r gonna have another British F1 Champion for a while after this. Vettel could win it next year.... the ferraris might turn up next year....who knows.

In summary, lol,

Well Done Jenson Button.

Mclaren came good at the last few races though and the new regulations next year will favour them.

So... Buttons move to Mclaren. Good idea or Bad idea?

Personally i think he was a fool to leave Brawn to go to a team who barely had any success throughout the whole season bar the last few races and i think hes sold himself out by doing so aswell. Now hes World Champion he thinks he can do what he likes. Well i dont think he'll win another World Championship now.

Couldn't care less tbh - I'm a Red Bull Boy :)

Glad they're sticking to the same drivers for 2010!

could go either way - i like Hamilton i think that he has potential (yes i know he has already won a championship but it takes consistent talent to win it more than once). Button is a good driver who HAD a great car ... IF McLaren has the reliability of their cars sorted then it will be a good season for them as you would hope that the drivers will push each other on.
HOWEVER .... i think that Webber could have an outside chance this year, RedBull seem to be coming into their own, Reliability has improved for them year on year and it COULD be that with all the focus being on McLarens driver lineup, RedBull and Webber in particular might just cause an upset

I think i would have to agree with u there. Webber or Vettel could walk away with it this year. What with there being 2 british World Champions in one team and the last 2 champions in the same team everyone will b all over Mclaren expecting big things. Have they announced Buttons replacement yet??? Or Barrichellos??

no its the same team its probably equivalent to Williams in the days when they were Renault Williams, Williams Cosworth etc etc. .. not really sure as to WHY it is (apart from the £££) but i believe that it is now Mercedes F1 and Virgin have "bought" one of the new teams so there will also be a Virgin F1 Racing

Nearly a month to go for the new F1 season - looks promising

1. Two world champions at McLaren
2. Alonso in a Ferrari sounds good
3. Michael Schumacher making a comeback
4. New teams and some new regulations might make for exciting racing

Fingers crossed

I can see McLaren, Ferrari, Mercedes, and Red Bull fighting for wins this season whilst the rest of the field fight for the minor points

Ross Brawn never wanted to be a team owner, so Brawn GP was just a stopgap, he always wanted someone else to take it on. Mercedes coming back into the sport was at the perfect time, with other big manufacturers pulling out, what better way than to buy into a race winning team?!

As to my predictions, pre-season testing never anything to go by, i think Vettel will be a force to be reckoned with in the Red Bull. Alonso always going to be dangerous, and as the only man on the grid to beat Schumacher to World Championships he won't be too intimidated by his return.

McLaren did a great job turning around their atrocious start to the season, with a very strong driver line up, Button's chances all depend on how well he gels with the team, which will always be Hamilton's team despite what they say, but so far it looks like they are getting on well together. I don't think Button is a sell out for moving, McLaren are one of the most respected teams in the sport, so why not jump at the chance of driving for them, if he hadn't won the championship the offer would probably never have been there. Plus its a new challenge to keep him going.

Of the new teams there doesn't seem to be much threat to the midfield teams so far, only Virgin and Lotus testing and not even that close to the pace/reliability of the established teams. Campos were looking lost until the recent buyout, so there's hope they will make Bahrain. USF1 was the on i had most hope for and they seem to be the ones that might not make it.

All in all - roll on Bahrain in a few weeks time - cannot wait!!!!!

Way I see it....if Ferrari, McLaren, Red Bull and Mercedes all have two cars finishing, they'll monopolise the top eight spots. That'll leave Williams, Sauber, and Renault fighting over the last two spots for minor points. Maybe Toro Rosso or Force India will get among them as well

Newcomers need time to get established - Lotus don't look bad, Virgin should've had two experienced drivers, and it'll be an achievement if Campos and USF1 make the grid

This.
New teams at back of grid...well established teams at the front...obviously!

Schumacher was fairly unconvincing aswell. Middle of the points. He should've stayed retired. Button was fairly lame too.

Well the Aussie GP has well and truly restored my faith in Formula 1, what a corker!

Hoping for more of the same in Malaysia this weekend, supposed to be chucking down whole weekend, hope not as bad as last year so the race goes the distance this time, but more carnage again please!
