So then people. New season rumbles around again. What's everyones predictions? Can Rossi pull the Ducati out of the shithole and make it a title winning bike again? Lorenzo retain his title? Stoner to be reignited on the Honda?
What about Biaggi winning again in WSBK? Lots of Brits in the paddock this year, could be a good year for them.
And i'm not sure what's happening in BSB at the mo. Will look up on that.

Nicky Hayden to pull his finger out of his arse and be competitive again hopefully. Who am I kidding? he's been gooseberry since he won the 2006 title :(

Lol, He had a good couple of results towards the end of last season though and was challenging pretty well in one race till his peg fell off or whatever it was, i forget now.

Yeah, he was doing quite well. I lost count of the amount of times he fell off last year

Stoner was a bitch for falling of as well mind
I don't think Lorenzo will keep it this year, things are getting mixed up, I'd say Rossi, Stoner (if he doesn't fall of) or Spies he really started to show potential last year

Spies will definately be an interesting prospect, especially now he's on a factory ride

Yeh, Spies already has better results in his first season on a non factory bike than Hayden did last season on a factory bike. So now he's on Rossi's old bike, you can expect a lot more podiums from Spies.

Hayden struggled in his post-World Championship winning season because Honda intentionally designed a bike that would suit Dani Pedrosa, and then when he moved to Ducati the bike was specifically designed with Casey Stoner in mind.

I doubt any team will ever build a bike around him again unless he drops out of the big 3 teams. No of those teams will build a bike around hi, because he is a consistant not a dominant rider like Rossi, Lorenzo and Stoner are. Hey ho, I'll just have to hope for a podium every now and again

Ship him off to WSBK? Lol. You make a good point though. Plus it was a few years ago now that he won the title so he's kinda old news. Especially with the new guys coming in like Spies. He's only gonna go down unfortunately for him.

Sadly yes, bad qualifying to. It's so strange seeing Stone in honda leathers and Rossi in Ducati leathers :s

Indeed. Rossi's leathers look shocking. And what's worse......it's not even on the BBC. I had to trawl through the channels earlier to find it on Eurosport 2 or something.

It's happened again.

Marco Simoncelli died in the Malaysian Moto GP today after colliding with Colin Edwards and Valentino Rossi. The race was red-flagged and not restarted. I haven't seen the crash yet and I don't know if I want to. Marco's helmet was knocked off and when the medics reached him he was in cardiac arrest and they couldn't do anything to save him. Horrible. :(

I'm so gutted :( He was my favourite rider after Nicky Hayden because of his attacking 'do or die' style which I love in drivers/riders (Hamilton, Senna). He was certain to be a future world champion and it's so sad, I feel bad for Colin Edwards and Valentino Rossi too they must feel so bad knowing they couldn't have done anything. I've no idea how Rossi managed to stay on his bike either after the impact.

Rossi is superhuman. He can do anything (apart from make a Ducati competitive).

Been a while but I'm back and the new season is fast approaching. I'd just like to add my respect for Sic, even though I was never really fussed on him as a rider I always thought he was a bit too wild, checking it down the road too much, a bit like De Puniet. Nevertheless it's always shocking and deeply sad when a professional (or even amateur) sportsperson loses their life wether it be on or off their chosen field of play.

That said, bring on 2012 and no. 10 for Rossi please. Lol.
