It'll be at least another 6 months of dissecting exactly what went wrong (answer - the other teams are roughly equal or better than us).

No, no, its that our footballers are overpaid prima donnas, unlike Messi, Ronaldo, Suarez, Balotelli and the rest only play for a pittance compared to Adam Lallana or Leighton Baines. You think Karim Benzema is paid millions? No chance, he drives a used Vauxhall Vectra. Neymar lives in a two bed flat with his flatmate Steve.

We don't need to be more skillful, just need more passion/work harder/get stuck in more. Teams like Spain and Brazil are all about passion, don't give a gooseberry about skill or technical ability, and look how successful they've been. Whereas the most skillful team in the tournament (Honduras, obviously) are struggling. They need to get stuck in more.

So the answer is: "Do more football, better."

No, not more football, you're not allowed to do more. You can't say "Well, the opponents are playing 90 minutes of football so we're going to play 180 minutes". That's definitely against the rules.

Nonsense. England need to go the extra mile. They always give up and go home after 90 minutes, regardless of whether they're losing or not. That's just plain lazy.

One thing I've learnt is that there are only so many hours that you can work in a day. What I've had to work on is getting better at priorisation.

So, if one area that I look after drives 80% of Revenues and another drives 20%, it makes more sense to focus my time on that 80%.

My understanding of football is that the team that scores the most goals wins, so I think that the England team just need to reprioritse and spend more of their time scoring goals than not scoring goals.

If they spend 80% of their time scoring goals and leave the remaining 20% of the time for the other stuff they have to do. (Paperwork, mandatory training, flirting at the water cooler etc), then I don't see why they can't win in just the 90 minutes. Perhaps even do it in 60?

Some real surprises this world cup (Suarez biting someone wasn't very surprising :P ) but I didn't think Greece, Algeria and Nigeria would make it through it through to the last 16. Been some cracking games already this world cup and seems set to get better :D

Germany are bringing the cup home this year :) They deserve to win as they are easily the most experienced team this year.

Also I've put a £200 bet on Germany this year so they've got to win.

Germany's team is quite young Blackie.

And wouldn't it be hilarious if they lost in the final on penalties?

If you want an experienced team then you should back Greece, the average age is 28  Though I wish I was still in Malia, the locals will be going nuts over this game!

Glad to see Costa Rica get through.

Me and some mates are doing a predictions thing, we've each put £10 in and there are prizes for 1st to 4th ranging from £100 down to £10.

With 52 of the 64 games gone, I've got a slender lead. Starting to get nervous now!

Won me £90 on the Costa Rica game last night, put 50p on a manager getting sent to the stands
It's just a shame that Costa Rica are probably going to get steamrolled by the Dutch after running themselves ragged last night.

Brazil are the third team to be 5 goals down at half time in a world cup match.

The other two are Haiti and Zaire.

The English dilemma: Who do I dislike more? The Germans or the Argentinians...

Alan Hansen is leaving the BBC after the final tonight. I wonder if he'll start supporting Scotland again.

Germany and Netherlands are not European. They're part of Rektonia, which is a separate continent altogether.
